Story
Ginger | Chesapeake Bay Retriever - terrier mix 7+ years | Spayed | 65 lbs Ginger is a lovable, friendly gal. She is extremely smart but also gentle and kind. She would make a great addition to any family. She was surrendered by her family in 2024, she was an indoor dog - she has good manners and a calm demeanor. She is up to date with her vaccines, HW- and spayed. Her fur is thick and longer than a Terrier but she doesn't shed a great deal. Ginger never met a stranger and loves to be petted. Her energy level is low-medium; she loves to go for walks in the woods and play ball in the yard. She has been in playgroups in the past and would be ok going to a dog park. She appears to have some leash training. Ginger gets along with puppies; she would do well in a home with another dog who is calm or would thrive as an only fur baby. If you would like to meet this deserving pup; and give her a true forever home where she can be pampered and loved, please fill out an application! She is also available for foster to adopt. Fostered in Central NJ. Adoption Fee includes all age-appropriate shots, deworming, spay/neuter certificate (if too young to be fixed) and microchip, dog food, leash and collar. PLEASE NOTE -- WE CAN ONLY RESPOND TO APPLICANTS WHO HAVE FILLED OUT AN APPLICATION AND ARE CONSIDERED A GOOD MATCH FOR THIS PET. Story
We don’t know how this stunning girl hasn’t caught someone’s eye yet. Beautiful Buttercup is around 1 year old and 55lbs.    Buttercup is a well-mannered house guest! She is already crate trained, potty trained and isn’t destructive. She is a friendly and social gal who seeks attention. Her  ideal home is one that is quiet but will provide her plenty of exercise time. We think Buttercup gets a little overstimulated if there is a lot going on. Buttercup LOVES to be outside! She enjoys playing in the yard and also just exploring so a fenced yard is needed. She is dog friendly and  would be fine with or without a dog friend. Buttercup enjoys walks and would be a good buddy for an active person but she does still need some work on her overly excited nature when  encountering other dogs.    Buttercup would love nothing more to find her forever home in time for the holidays so she can start settling in. This girl is so sweet and deserves her forever family. If you are interested in Buttercup please email us at almosthome4dogs@yahoo.com (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) Story
AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! Liberty pup is a three month old mixed breed who weighs around 17 lb. She recently arrived from a crowded rural shelter and is quickly learning the comforts of a home. She is playful, confident, and curious and likes exploring her new surroundings inside and outside.    Liberty pup is dog friendly and is in a foster home with a few other dogs. She tends to be the one to initiate play and loves a good wrestling match. She is working on the puppy fundamentals like crate training and house training. Potential adopters should be willing to provide adequate daily exercise and continue her training and socialization as she grows into a well-balanced adult. After spending weeks in a shelter, she is overdue to find her family and start her new chapter!   Email almosthome4dogs@yahoo.com to request an application to adopt Liberty pup and see if she is a good match for your family!   Please email us at AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com for more info or an application. (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) NOTE: Most puppies do best in the company of an older dog who can teach them "doggy manners," so homes with at least one other dog usually will be given preference in puppy adoptions. Story
Paxton is a friendly, sweet and gentle guy looking for his forever family! He is just under or around 1 year old. He is a thick boy at 70 lbs but is gentle and pretty calm for his young age.    Paxton is great with both male and female dogs. He also would be a good match for a home with kids. He walks nicely on a leash and has not been reactive to passing kids, dogs or bikes while out on a stroll. He enjoys a more leisurely pace versus a brisk walk.    Paxton just arrived to use recently but so far has been accident free and doing well in his crate at his foster home. He is a lovely boy to have as a house guest while he waits for his forever family! He is content entertaining himself with toys and bones when inside and will be glad to curl up with you on the couch if there is an open spot. Paxton looks to his people for encouragement when he encounters a new situation and is always glad to receive pets and love.    Paxton would be a great addition to many families and homes! If you are interested in him email us at almosthome4dogs@yahoo.com!  (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.)
