Story
Meet Maximus, a five year old Lab mix weighing around 60 pounds.Maximus` story is quite sad. Animal control was called to pick him up after his owners moved and the landlord called them. He was left tied up next to the house with no shelter and hardly any room to move The area around him was covered in feces and urine and so was he, we can`t imagine why someone would do that to him. When he came to us we immediately gave him a bath and noticed some sores, probably due to the filth he was forced to sit in. Maximus is a friendly goober with a good amount of energy. He likes treats but seems like no one really worked with him so he is still learning his mannered but responds well to correction. He deserves only the best home after what he has been through. This pet is available for adoption on 12/20/2024 at 4:59 PM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at 509-457-6854.Did you know YHS lets local community members FOSTER TO ADOPT?? While an animal`s picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is lifesaving. Adopt Don`t Shop.

Story
Little Bucket here (80lbs) is a black lab mixed with who knows what! Once he warms up to you, he loves you so much! He is currently almost 10 months old, but he picks up training pretty well! This guy loves having a task to do, so rest assured, he will come with all his favorite toys! About bucket -he loves ice cubes -crate trained -seperation anxiety Bucket's backstory: He was taken in by my roommate, we assume Bucket was 8 weeks. (Yes I have baby pictures) 3 months later, he moves out and leaves the dog. Me and 2 other roommates helped step up and care for the boy, but he has a lot more energy than any of us can keep up with. Because of his physical needs not being met, he has been acting out frequently. If his needs are met properly, he is a wonderful dog, super receptive to training. We love him so much, but our house is not the right fit. Bucket needs more space and someone with energy for him!
