Everyone welcome Denney!! Denney is an 7 pound, 6-year-old male Chihuahua that was rescued from the San Bernardino Animal Shelter on his last day. Denney is a low-key, low energy boy whose favorite pastime is being with his person. He has been in professional training (due to fears of being on a leash) and is doing amazing. What would his perfect home look like? Well, he is not really into other dogs (does not interact or play but he would get along with another low-key dog) so a home without other dogs would be his preference. A home with a retired person/couple would be ideal as he is a dog that just wants his people. He would not require daily walks as he would prefer just to be home. Even though he is only 6 years old, he is an old soul. A home without children would be best for Denney. If you are retired and interested in adopting Denney, his adoption fee would be covered under our senior-to-senior program (no cost). Denney has been neutered, received a dental, is up to date on his vaccinations and is microchipped. Hammy is sweet, gets along with other dogs, and has the cutest apple-shaped noggin you’ll ever see. Although she’s a senior, she still has plenty of energy for playing pickle ball, knitting, and telling you about all the neighborhood gossip. Here’s some notes from her foster: Gail is a petite, short legged chi who wants to be your best friend. She can be shy at first but warms up quickly and then just wants to be nearby her favorite person/people. She would likely do well as an only dog or with a pal to hang with, especially if you are away from home a lot. Being that she is small and in her senior years, we believe she would be fine with children who are older, respectful, kind and gentle with her. Hammy is housebroken and has not had an accident inside. She eats well and has put on a little weight, which she needed. Since we don't have stairs, we don't know if she will be great at stairs or not. She mostly hangs out in her bed at my feet but also checks out the world at the living room window. She has a little bark when new people come to the house but will stop when you tell her to. She is okay at home alone (with my other dog) but will whine a bit at first, then settles in her bed until you return. She clearly would prefer to go with you on your adventures!

Sugar Plum was rescued from a kind-hearted hoarder who meant no harm, but because there were so many dogs, Sugar Plum and others slept outside.
