Story
I was adopted 6 years ago, but my daddy recently passed away and I need a new forever home. I am super sweet and LOVE to be with my person! My foster mom says I am not a barker and am completely potty-trained. I bond quickly and follow my foster mom around the house because I like to be near or on her. I LOVE walks, car rides and chew toys! I am a little apprehensive when I first meet people, but I am loyal and have so much love to give. Since I am energetic, I will need slow introductions to children. Therefore, Kimie thinks I should be in a home with older children. The jury is still as to whether I am good with cats. However, Kimie thinks that, with the proper introductions, I will get along with independent cats or cats that are accustomed to being around dogs would be ideal. Although I am apprehensive with meeting new people, I am an alpha dog. Therefore, the ideal home for me would be a home with no pets or with a submissive small dog.

Story
I am a new arrival to Kimie's Kritters Pet Rescue with my "brother", Sid. I was estimated to be about four years old and as is typical of my breed, I am a rambunctious fellow. I am being housed with other small dogs and do just fine. I have not been tested with larger dogs so, would have to have a meet and greet to determine how I would do with bigger dogs. I appear to have normal curiosity towards cats, so would also need to be cat-tested. I use a doggie door to go outside to take care of business.

Story
I am new to Kimie's Kritters and Kimie says that I am a mellow fellow and am as sweet as can be. My story is that my dad worked LOOOONG hours and his kids failed to feed me. My dad was attempting to surrender me to a shelter, but he didn't have an appointment. My rescuer just so happened to be pulling into the parking lot of the shelter as my dad was contemplating leaving me in the parking lot, so she offered to take me. He was grateful to be able to surrender me to her. Since I've been rescued, I have eaten more than I need to and have recently filled out. When around other dogs, I tend to simply avoid them as I am a submissive guy. So far, I appear to be housetrained (I use a doggie door to go outside). I have been around cats and will bark at them through the windows like I'm a tough guy. When I am in the same room as them, it is a different story and I simply ignore them. Because I was deprived of food, I still tend to guard my food, so will have to be fed separately from other dogs. I do not mind if my foster mom takes food away from me, so it is just with other dogs.

Story
Spud is a very energetic little dog. He loves to run and run long distances. He is extremely playful, fun, cuddly, and genuinely enjoys being around his person. I originally got him from Craigslist when he was a puppy. He was cute like a little potato, hence the name Spud. He loves to sleep under the covers constantly touching his person. Spud has behavioral issues. He does not do well with men, children, or other pets. He has anxiety and can be reactive. In a new home, I would just want Spud to have room to run, and to be genuinely loved. He is such a great dog. I love Spud, but with my lifestyle and want for children, I cannot hinder him from living his best life. Anyone would be lucky to have Spud as their best friend.

Story
April is a darling little chihuahua mix puppy. She was born around 3/1/2024 and currently weighs 11 lbs. April is affectionate, sweet, smart and playful. She enjoys romping around the house and yard with her dog buddies. She likes to play with her toys, chew on her bully sticks and other chewy treats. She likes to splash around in the water on warm days and is a pretty good little swimmer. She has plenty of puppy energy and will make you laugh with her silly antics. She loves her people and enjoys couch time with them in the evenings. April currently lives with other dogs of various sizes and she gets along well with them. She also lives with dog savvy cats and is respectful with them. Young children would likely overwhelm her so only dog savvy, respectful children over 10 are recommended. She is an alert barker and loves her yard so no apartments for her. She likely would not do well left home alone daily for long hours. April is crate trained, doing well with potty training and is learning to walk on a leash. April would do well in a home with a yard and a young, playful companion dog to romp around with. Someone who has the time, patience and understands the exercise and training needs of a young puppy would be ideal. April is a little sweetheart who is waiting for her forever home. Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

Story
Fozzie was adopted from a local shelter back in February, when he was just 6 months old. In July, Fozzie's Mom knew something was wrong and took Fozzie to her vet. He was diagnosed with epilepsy and was put on medication. The medication has made a world of difference for Fozzie and he's living large and feeling good. But his Mom is having a hard time. To prevent Fozzie from having further seizures, he must get his two medications three times a day. Keeping Fozzie on this schedule has been challenging for his Mom, and she has decided that it's best due to his medical condition that he be rehomed to a person/family who can more easily and more reliably keep him on schedule. Here's what we know about Fozzie: 14 months old 20lbs UTD on vaccinations - good thru February 2024 Neutered Microchipped DNA test revealed the following top five breeds: 39% Chihuahua, 14% dachshund, 11% Min Pin, 8% Poodle, 5% Mini Schnauzer Good with kids, other dogs and dog savvy cats Active boy who enjoys playing fetch and going for walks, tho he is still learning leash manners Knows some basic obedience commands, such as "sit" and "down" Enjoys playing with toys Fozzie is a great companion and loves to cuddle Interested in meeting Fozzie?
