Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee. This dog will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, March 8th from 12-3pm or until adopted. If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered.   Adoption Fee: $650 Meet the Dynamic Duo of the Puppy Art World – Jackson Pollack & Andy Warhol! (Not actually siblings… just two masterpieces who came in together!) Jackson Pollack and Andy Warhol arrived at the shelter side-by-side, leading us to believe they were brothers. But after a closer look (and a peek at their ages!), we realized they’re more like two artists who met at the same gallery—completely different styles, both works of art! Though they’ve shared their foster home, these pups aren’t looking for a joint exhibit; they’re each ready for their own solo show in separate forever homes. Andy Warhol – The Pop Culture Pup with a Heart of GoldAge: 3 1/2 - 4 months old | Weight: 6 lbs (15-20 lbs full grown) Meet Andy Warhol, the tan Chihuahua whose personality is just as iconic and vibrant as his namesake’s art. Andy is the self-assured leader of this pairing, always ready to make an entrance with a wagging tail and playful spin. Sit on the floor, and you’ll find yourself the center of his playful universe—he’ll circle you, give happy licks, and happily accept belly rubs once he’s had his fill of frolicking. Andy thrives on outdoor adventures, loves chasing balls (though returning them is… let’s call it a “work in progress”), and has a special talent for turning a simple stick into a prized treasure. High-energy and social, Andy barks to say hello but settles quickly. When playtime ends, he’s all about the snuggles, especially if there’s a cozy blanket involved. Andy’s perfect home includes someone ready for puppy antics, outdoor fun, and plenty of cuddle sessions. Jackson Pollack – Abstract Energy in Puppy FormAge: 2.5 months | Weight: 3.5 lbs (10-12 lbs full grown) Like his namesake, Jackson Pollack is a burst of creative chaos, painting his world with energy and curiosity. This tiny black Terrier-Chihuahua mix may be small, but his personality splashes out in every direction. Initially a little shy, Jackson quickly warms up and transforms into a playful explorer. Whether he’s zipping around the yard like a brushstroke in motion, squeezing through tiny spaces, or collecting sticks as if they’re prized sculptures, Jackson brings joy with every move. When he’s not busy creating his next “masterpiece” of mischief, Jackson is a budding cuddle connoisseur—happy to snuggle up after a day of play. He’s working on potty pad training and loves following his people around like an artist seeking inspiration. If you’re looking for a tiny, spunky companion to brighten your canvas of life, Jackson is ready to make his mark! Separate Homes, Equally Loving Hearts:While Jackson and Andy started their journey together, they’re each ready to be the star of their own show. Both puppies adore people (including kids ages 8 and 11) and are looking for homes that can keep up with their playful energy. Whether you’re drawn to Jackson’s curious spirit or Andy’s affectionate leadership, you’ll be adopting a pup ready to fill your days with laughter, love, and plenty of puppy kisses. A Note About Puppies:Puppies are adorable, but they’re also a big commitment! Jackson and Andy are at that fun (and sometimes mischievous) stage where they’re learning about the world. Their future families should be ready for potty training, puppy-proofing, and plenty of supervision. Puppies require patience, consistency, and lots of positive reinforcement to grow into well-mannered adults. Expect early mornings, occasional messes, and the need for frequent playtime and socialization. Puppy-proofing your home (and your favorite socks!) is essential, and chew toys are a must since they’re both in the teething stage. These boys thrive on attention and will do best in homes where someone can spend time with them throughout the day—whether you work from home or can take them along on adventures. In return, you’ll get unconditional love, endless puppy kisses, and a lifelong companion who will fill your home with joy, laughter, and the kind of happiness only a puppy can bring. If you’re ready to invest the time and energy into shaping a young pup into your perfect dog, Jackson Pollack or Andy Warhol is ready to start their next masterpiece—with you!   March 5, 2025, 11:29 am

If you’ve been sniffing around for the perfect pup, your search is over—because Toucan Sam is here, and he’s more irresistible than a freshly opened box of cereal! This 10 month old, 9.4 lbs Chihuahua is a little bundle of joy, ready to brighten your mornings, afternoons, and nights. Whether he’s zooming around like he’s had one too many fruity loops or snuggling up like the world’s tiniest lap warmer, this boy is as sweet as they come. A typical day in the life of Toucan Sam? He starts off bright and early with a quick potty break, followed by a gourmet breakfast (devoured at lightning speed, because who has time for slow dining?). About 30 minutes later, he’s out for a refreshing walk, where he struts his stuff like a tiny, four-legged celebrity. Throughout the day, he enjoys quick potty breaks, playtime with his foster sibling, and alternating between zoomies and lounging like a champion. At exactly 10 PM, he gets his final potty break before tucking in for the night, dreaming of belly rubs and treats. Toucan Sam is the ultimate cuddle connoisseur. Pick him up, and he instantly melts into you like butter on warm toast, resting his little head on your shoulder like he was born for snuggles. He’s a people-loving, attention-soaking, lap-hogging superstar who wants nothing more than to be loved. He plays beautifully with other dogs his size and even walks politely on a leash next to his foster sibling—no pulling, no drama, just a gentlemanly stroll. He even knows his name (Sam, if you’re feeling casual), and when you call, he comes running faster than you can say “Who’s a good boy?” (Spoiler alert: It’s him.) What about bad habits? Well… he doesn’t really have any. He’s not a chewer (unless it’s a toy), not a digger, and he barely barks (except at the Roomba, which he insists is a suspicious robot). He’s a quick learner, doesn’t have food aggression, and would likely thrive with a doggy door or easy access to a yard. Oh, and car rides? Let’s just say he’s a lap-rider rather than a backseat adventurer. If he’s in your lap, he’s golden—otherwise, expect some dramatic (but adorable) whining. The ideal home for Toucan Sam? He’d love a place where he can get outside to potty easily (either a yard or someone home often to let him out). He’d also love a doggy friend to keep him company, but honestly, his biggest requirement is YOU. If you’re looking for a tiny, affectionate, happy-go-lucky companion who will follow your nose—uh, we mean heart—straight to happiness, Toucan Sam is the one you don’t want to miss! Apply today before someone else scoops up this one-of-a-kind, fruit-loop-loving, cuddle-powered superstar!March 15, 2025, 1:39 am

Story
If you want a fun sidekick, with the cutest forehead wrinkles, the longest little legs and a nose for adventure, meet Dot! Dot was the tiniest pup in her litter but she made her presence known! Dot was born under a shed to a very sweet abandoned mama chihuahua mix who did a good job of keeping her little babies safe and warm. When mama and her 2 week old puppies were discovered, we brought them to safety where they were raised in a loving foster home. Dot is a confident girl, who loves to learn, is super motivated for treats and its just hard not to look at her and smile or laugh at her antics. She might be a good candidate for agility as she has lots of energy and likes to explore! She loves her walks and we are working on her leash manners. Dot will need a watchful eye as she likes to adventure. Once the wiggles are out, Dot is a world class snuggler and is super affectionate. Dot is crate trained and potty trained in her foster home but as with any new situation, dogs/puppies will have accidents and there will be adjustment period as they learn their new environment.

Story
Frank needs a new home. He is definitely a senior but still in good health. He likes to sleep with you at night. He loves walks. He is definitely a one-person dog. He likes to play keep-away with toys. For long car trips, he likes to sing for entertainment. Tell him, "Can you sing a song" and he will. If the phone rings for a long time, he starts singing for you to answer. He is easy to fall in love with and will stay by your side.
