Story
Meet Juliet! This 3-year-old Chihuahua blend weighs 11 lbs. Juliet is looking for a dog-savvy human who can provide her with love, stability, and, of course, lots of snuggles. General Behavior: Juliet, while timid at first, is a true snuggle bug once she has determined you to be her "person". She is wary of strangers and needs time to trust that you are a friend, not a foe. She can often be found happily sitting in her human's lap, watching the newest sitcom while getting those highly sought-after ear scratches. Likes & Dislikes: Juliet loves the outdoors! She enjoys chasing lizards in the backyard and going for walks. Juliet likes things to be calm and laid-back in her life. She is not a fan of big changes, frequent visitors, or visiting dogs as they give her anxiety. As long as Juliet has her person and snuggles, she is happy. Training: This adorable girl has been working hard on her training in her foster home. She has good leash-walking skills and is a polite passenger in the car. She is still working on her social skills and general basic manners. She will require a family that can commit to continuing the training she has started in her foster home. Medical: Juliet is a healthy gal! She does take daily medication to manage her general anxiety. The cost of this is approximately $8 per month. Aside from this, she requires her monthly heartworm and flea preventative, like any other pooch. Other Animals: Juliet will require a home with no other animals. She prefers to have her humans to herself. Children: A home with no children is required for Juliet. Home: A single-family home or dog-friendly apartment living would be just fine for this beautiful pup! She requires a calm and laid-back home without frequent visitors and a dog-savvy, snuggle-loving human. Grooming: As a short-haired pup, Juliet does not require any frequent trips to the groomer. She just needs her regular baths and nail trims. Overall: Juliet is sure to thrive in a calm and loving home with a human who loves her just as much as she loves them! Are you the one for Juliet? Visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt. You’ll be put in contact with her foster family for more information if it’s a potential match. She is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, spayed, and heartworm negative. Her adoption donation is $300. ##1938332##

Story
Meet Freckles . . . A 2-year-old Pug/Chihuahua blend that weighs 18 lbs. of pure love. In fact, she loves everyone she meets! General Behavior: Freckles is an energetic and happy girl who loves to love (and be loved in return). Likes & Dislikes: Freckles is a big fan of the outdoors and loves to be outside running and playing.  She scores high marks in the “Zoomies” category, which is sure to offer loads of laughs. She also loves toys and a good old-fashioned belly rub. Training: Freckles is housetrained, if let out on a regular schedule. She walks good on a leash.  She is still working on her basic manners.  Freckles is very food and treat motivated, so training with this gal should be easy breezy. Medical:  Freckles is a healthy girl and will just require her monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Other Animals: Freckles does well with other playful dogs of any size so a house with a buddy would be great.  She could also be an only dog as long as she gets plenty of outdoor playtime and exercise.  She should do fine with cats as well. Children: Freckles should do well with children of any age, as long as they are respectful. Home: Freckles likes to follow you around, so you can expect to have a shadow at times.  We know she would love a single-family home with a fenced yard for playtime.  She would also be suitable for a condo or apartment, as long as she has plenty of walks throughout her day.   After a day of play, she likes to dream overnight in her dog bed. Grooming:  Freckles is a low-maintenance gal who will just need regular brushing and nails trimmed. Overall: Sweet, loving, easy-going, entertaining and energetic.  What more could you ask for? Are you the one for Freckles?  Please visit our website, www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt.  You’ll be put in contact with her foster family if it’s a potential match.  Freckles is fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped and just had a dental cleaning.  Her adoption donation is $400. ##2074517##

Story
Meet Gibby …This Chi-Weenie (Chihuahua/Dachshund) blend boy is 14 lbs. of pure love. He is two years old and was dumped (with who we believe is his mom) in a neighborhood.  They made their way to a backyard and a kind family allowed them to shelter in their screened patio.  Because they couldn’t care for the two young pups, they reached out to Poodle and Pooch.  And this is where Gibby’s new chapter began.  General Behavior: This little fella is described by his foster dad as “bouncy, happy and a cuddle loving boy”.  He is also described as “part Velcro” because Gibby loves to follow him from room to room, wherever he goes, whatever he does. Likes & Dislikes: If you ask Gibby what his favorite activity is, he will immediately reply, “cuddling”.  He loves to relax on the couch or in bed with his human cuddling.  And, if you throw in a belly rub, it’s the perfect combination for Gibby. Training: Gibby is housebroken when left out on a regular schedule.  He has good basic manners and does good on car rides (but doesn’t love it like some dogs).  He also walks well on the leash. Sometimes he wants to walk and other times he would prefer to just do his quick outside business and go back inside (where the cuddles take place). Medical:  Gibby is in excellent health and will just require his monthly heartworm and flea prevention, like any other dog. Other Animals: Gibby does good with dogs of all sizes.  When Gibby had a visit from another high-energy pup, he was initially shy, but did join in with playing.  However, he mostly watched the other pup run around.  He could easily fit into a home with or without another dog.  Gibby also shows no interest in the older and grumpier cat in the home. Children: Gibby would be suitable in a home with respectful children.  Because of his smaller size, the adult in the home should supervise younger children with Gibby. Home:   Gibby’s favorite thing to do at home is follow you around to check out what you are doing.  If you sit down on the floor, Gibby will gladly hop on your lap. When his new human leaves the home, he can be left alone for several hours without issue and has free reign of his foster home.  Gibby will be excited when you return from being out and you will be greeted with some bouncy, tail-wagging moments. He would be suitable for a single-family home or an apartment/townhome.  He hasn’t quite discovered toys yet but does love to play.   At the end of the day, Gibby will gladly burrow into the “big person” bed for lots of nighttime cuddles. Grooming:  Gibby is a low-maintenance fella and will just require brushing and nail trims. Overall: If you are looking for a chill dog who will bring joy to your life, Gibby might be the one for you.  All he asks in return is love, and you guessed it . . . CUDDLES! Are you the one for Gibby?  Please visit our website, www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt.  You’ll be put in contact with his foster family if it’s a potential match.  Gibby is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and just had a dental.  His adoption donation is $375. ##2126841##
