This is Radar, a two-year old Chihuahua/Dachshund mix. I'll be honest, he is not the easiest dog to get to know, but if you are patient, Radar will be your best friend. The first day I fostered him, he nipped at my fingers twice, but since that day, he has only given me kisses and lets me stick my fingers in his mouth to tickle the roof of his mouth. He lives with my 13 year-old female Chihuahua who he respects. Radar likes to play with his plushy toys and chew on his bones. He'll play catch with his toys or sticks from the yard. We went through a period of potty training, but is now trained. He sleeps in his crate at night, but naps alongside me. He likes to go for walks, but will try to attack the cars, trucks, busses driving down the street. Radar doesn't like my neighbor, the postal carrier, or my lawn guy, but he likes a friend that drops over once a week to visit. He senses when I am not feeling well and will stick to me like my shadow. He is my protector and my guard dog, and I feel safe when I am with him. A 3-5 year old short haired chihuahua looking for her forever home! Tallulah was rescued from a horrific hoarding house/ neglect situation. Her and many other dogs were left abandoned in a small trailer home with no food or water and were living in mountains of trash. They nearly starved to death, luckily we were called to the scene and got them out in time. She is now a healthy weight and ready for the next chapter of her life. Tallulah has made quite the splash here at the rescue with her silly happy dances, she also loves snuggles so much she will literally leap from the ground into our arms, so you better be ready to catch her!
