Story
Alex came to us from a small rural rescue person in California who got overwhelmed with too many dogs and no adopters and they were going to be put down. They luckily found their way onto a van coming north to TRACS. They were literally saved at the very last minute. Alex is about 6 years young and a great size of 17 pounds! His breed appears to be chihuahua possibly mixed with something else. But he does have an apple head for sure. He is being neutered and microchipped and fully vaccinated on the 17th and ready to go on the 18th. He lives with other dogs and does great. He loves to go outside and should be very house trainable. Obviously he loves his stuffy toys too! His adoption fee covers part of his neuter surgery and medical work and the transportation to get here to us! He is adoptable for $200. If interestedl, please fill out an adoption application (the link to the form is found on the homepage of the TRACS website www.pet-tracs.com) and an adoption specialist will contact you via text to confirm receipt and next steps!

Story
Beautiful Charlotte is a small statured Shepherd mix (mixed with something small) that was part of the group that came up from CA. She is about 30 pounds and approximately 1 year old but is still got lots of puppy antics about her. She is living comfortably with 2 other dogs and they are getting along just fine. She knows that yard time is for potty breaks and play but will likely still need some housetraining once in her permanent home and has new routines. Charlotte is up to date on vaccinations, has been spayed and is microchipped. Her adoption fee is $200. If interested in this cute girl, please fill out an adoption application (link to the form is found on the homepage of the TRACS website pet-tracs.com) and an adoption specialist will be in touch with you via text to confirm receipt and next steps!

Story
Teo came to TRACS recently on a rescue van from Abilene Texas. But his story goes beyond that and if he could just talk, what we would hear. He came to Abilene via a rescue group who got him as a homeless kid off the streets of Mexico and brought him into safety. He boarded a van and got all the way to Abilene, where he basked in the sun for a short time and then boarded a van for Montana. He is now looking for a great life as a well cared for resident of the north. Teo is about a 1.5 year old chihuahua and wire haired terrier mix boy who is about 11 pounds or so and fully grown. He has been neutered and fully vaccinated and ready to go home now. He is dog friendly and people friendly and will be a great family member. His adoption fee is $200 and you can apply for him on the TRACS website if you are interested in him and we will text you with a plan for coming to meet him and take him home to his forever home.

Story
Maggie is my father's dog. Sadly due to his progression in dementia, he is unable to take care of her anymore. My father adopted Maggie from the pound about 10 years ago so we think she is somewhere around 11 or 12 years old. She is still very energetic and very friendly. Because she spent most of her life living with an elderly single man, she is not used to young children. She has seemed mostly friendly with calm children, ages 5 and up. She is neutered and most likely microchipped. She is very territorial and does get along with other dogs very well. At the moment, she is very overweight, due to lack of exercise and being overfed. But no other health issues so far. Maggie is a very sweet and friendly dog. She deserves to go to a good home where she will be taken good care of. Thank you!

Story
Misty and Pinchy showed up as stray in a small town in TX. How that is possible, we don't know! These 2 are wonderful little dogs and are very happy-go-lucky! They get so excited when someone comes to visit their kennel and their little hindquarters can't wiggle enough! So much cuteness! These 2 are up to date on vaccinations, have been altered and will come with a micro-chip. Together they would make any home feel happy and full of life. We aren't requiring them to go together but they just look like they should, kind of a matched pair! Both have done ok with harnessed leash walks. Adoption fee is $300 - we will make a deal if an adopter would like both. If interested in Misty, please fill out an adoption application (link to the form found on the TRACS website pet-tracs.com) and an adoption specialist will text with confirmation and next steps. If you are interested in both, please note that on your application in one of the text fields.

Story
Gurty and her sister came up to us from TX on a van - what a long ride!!! They made the trip like champs and are now here looking for their forever homes! The girls are about 6 months old and just a hoot. They are a mix of Rat Terrier and Chihuahua (we think but can't guarantee that this is the absolute mix) and are about 12 pounds. Gurty had an infected toe that has been removed but you can't tell as it doesn't slow her down or anything. Both girls are super friendly and are loves. They are active pups so exercise is necessary! Both have been out on harnessed leash walks and did wonderfully. Both are up to date on vaccinations, have a micro-chip and will be spayed on 7/5 (available 7/7). Adoption fee is $200. If interested in Gurty, please fill out an adoption application (link found on the TRACS homepage pet-tracs.com) and an adoption specialist will text you confirmation and advise next steps.
