Gibson recently spent time in a holiday foster home, where he showed just how sweet and adaptable he can be. He walks well on a harness without any issues and loves snuggling into blankets or anything soft. Though shy at first—often retreating under the bed when returning home—he warmed up significantly over the foster period, following the adults around the house and even starting to play with dog toys. Gibson was great with the foster's two cats, showing no aggression, growling, or attempts to bite. He's calm, sweet, and loves affection, often pawing at you for more pets if you stop. While not fully housebroken yet, he made progress and is learning quickly. Medicating him can be a bit challenging, but with patience and consistency, he could adapt over time. Gibson would thrive in a loving, adult only, home that can continue building his confidence and training while showering him with the affection he clearly adores.

Meet Chloe, who comes to us from Union County Animal Services where she was dropped off with her bonded pack Memory and Buddy after their owner passed away. Chloe is a 7 lb. 8-year-old Chihuahua and gives the best kisses! We would like for them to go together, and we will work out a package deal if someone would be willing to take all three to keep them together. They are all fixed, up to date on shots and microchipped. All are dogs are very sweet and cat friendly. Memory is a 7 lb., 13-year-old Chihuahua. She is a very outgoing and spry girl and so loving. Buddy is a 21 lb., 8-year-old, Chi mix who is super sweet and a little on the heavy side

Welcome Boogie and Yaya, who are a bonded pair of girls that come to us from the community. Boogie is a Chi mix, and Yaya is a Maltipoo and both girls are 12 years old. They are both healthy, vibrant, sweet, and pee pad trained. Boogie is special needs, as both of her front arms are deformed, but that does not stop her one bit. She walks and hops on her back legs and even has a wheelchair cart. Yaya is pee pad and outside trained. Both will need to go to their new home together. The perfect family would need to be willing to help Boogie up and down, have carpeting or rugs for her to gain traction and be willing to continue to spoil these girls in a way they are accustomed. Meet Maxx, who comes to us from the Rowan County Animal Shelter. He is a 5-year-old, Chihuahua. He is housebroken, neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and is heartworm negative. Maxx gets along with other dogs and cats. He is your typical grumpy Chihuahua. He growls at everything all the time....happy or sad, he growls. But shows no aggression. It's adorable and that is his love language we guess. He would do great with a family with no young kids (he has never offered to bite) or a couple. He is sweet and loving but just grumpy even when he is wagging his tail and giving kisses. If you are interested in meeting Maxx, please reach out to us for an application.
