Story
Are you searching for a petite girl with big opinions? Meet Piper! Piper was born around February of 2024, and found herself at the local shelter. Since leaving the shelter, she has blossomed from a trembling skeleton to a sassy athlete. Piper loves to play and hang out with her dog friends, as well as cuddle with her humans. She bosses the big dogs around, and has no problem keeping up with them. Piper is crate trained, and sleeps in her crate at night. She is still working on potty training, and absolutely hates going outside when it's cold or rainy. Piper requires a family within 30 miles of Toledo. She could live in a multi-dog home with a yard, or an apartment with daily walks. Due to high volume, inquiries made on petfinder and adoptapet will not be answered. Story
Dakota is a 2-year-5-month old Chihuahua mix weighing 15 pounds. He came to the shelter as an owner surrender. Unfortunately Dakota spent the majority of his life in a small apartment and was never housebroken. We've been working on building his confidence and introducing him to new things and adventures along with training. Dakota needs a slow and quiet approach, after a sniff and a treat you'll be quick friends. He's very playful and enjoys tug and stuffed toys. He's very affectionate and likes to cuddle. Needs housetraining and leash manners. Does well with baths. Good with dogs his own size (Dakota would benefit from another dog in the home to learn from). Treat motivated. Fearful of cats. His adoption fee is $150, this includes his neuter, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and micro chipped. His dog license is also required to be purchased for Sandusky County residents at time of adoption, which is an additional $21.00. Please visit the shelter to meet him, we show dogs Monday through Friday 1pm-4:30pm and Saturday 1pm-3:30pm. Once you have visited the shelter, you are then eligible to submit an adoption application for review. Please note, we do not offer same day adoptions and there is a $10 non-refundable application fee.Come and meet your new best friend today! The Humane Society of Sandusky County is open Monday -Friday 1pm - 5pm and Saturdays from 1pm - 4pm. Also, be sure to check us out on FaceBook!

What can you say about Peanut? He is a devoted loving dog - house broken - gets along well with other dogs - not so well with cats. He loves to watch the fish swim in their aquariums - loves his treats. Peanut does get very jealous sometimes if you pay more attention to somebody else. He's all around a very good dog. Widget is a very sweet and loving dog. She is 6 years old and gets along well with other dogs and cats. She has problems with her back legs and has trouble walking, but she tries very hard. She would be best in a quieter home so that she can have all of the attention that she never had. She does not bark unless someone comes to the door. She loves relaxing and being petted. Her adoption fee is very special, apply to find out (hint: it's not much) This old girl asked to stay local so she must be picked up in Crossville, Tennessee.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN.
