Story
Rosalina is currently being fostered in TEXAS. Rosalina was an owner surrender with her sister Luma. Rosalina is approximately 7 years old and a chunky overweight 16 pounds. She definitely needs some exercise and to be on a diet. Rosalina was very nervous when she first came in, but she is extremely sweet. Rosalina is a submissive dog and she gets along with all dogs, cats and kids. Rosalina walks well on leash. I still have not heard her bark. She is potty trained, travels well in the car, loves people and attention. She’s not a huge fan of change or chaos and it makes her nervous. She is not as confident as her sister and she would prefer a home that is pretty low-key without a lot of change. She is a quiet and easy going dog with a gentle demeanor and a huge heart just waiting to learn to love again. Approved adopters please send your hold requests to the email you were given. Story
Luma is currently being fostered in TEXAS. Luma does have a cherry eye, but she will be having that removed on June 20th. Luma and her sister Rosalina were owner surrenders. Luma is an all around good girl. Apx 6-7 years old and a chunky overweight 16.5 pounds. Luma needs to be on diet and get exercise. Luma rarely barks. She walks well on leash, she is potty trained, is great with cats, kids and dogs. She is good in the car and has an overall great demeanor. Her and her sister were very nervous when they first came in, but they are opening up more and more every day. Luma is playful and silly at times and more confident than her sister. She is very friendly and although this chapter of her life has been difficult, the best is yet to come and we know that there is a great family out there for Luma. We will send updated photos of her fantastic new look next week Approved adopters please send your hold requests to the email you were given. Story
Currently in Texas PLEASE READ BIO CAREFULLY Daffy is approximately two years old and 8 1/2 pounds. She is from the backyard hoarding situation here in Pleasanton. Her siblings are all the flower names 🙂 Daffy is amazing. Sweet, gentle, loving, silly, kind and adorable. She has a big heart and gets along with cats, well mannered children (no small children please due to her bad hip) and dogs , (no large hyper dogs please due to her bad hip). Daffy unfortunately does have some bone degeneration in her left rear hip. She does not seem to be in a lot of pain, but she walks funny. Someday she will put full weight on that leg and somedays she favors it a little bit more. Daffy runs, jumps, plays, can do walks and stairs fine, at this point. We did have her at our vets office and had her x-rayed. The vet did recommend that she gets an FHO surgery. https://vcahospitals.com/.../femoral-head-ostectomy-fho... This is a pretty invasive surgery with a long healing time. To be 110% transparent , the rescue does not have the financial freedom to get this surgery done, it’s a $2400 surgery (In Texas). We also do not have the staffing and man power to give Daffy what should require after the surgery as far as rehabilitation and rehab. On a personal note and I am not a vet, I had this surgery done on my own personal dog many years ago and it was awful. She was in so much pain. I was crying at night listening to her cries. After months of healing she never had full range of motion of that leg, it always bothered her, and just in my personal opinion, it was not worth the cost or the pain she had to go through. All of this being said, we do love Daffy and want to get her into a wonderful home. We are hoping we will be able to adopt her out even with her bad hip. Her new family can decide if they would like to get the surgery done at their own cost and timeframe or maybe they would prefer some other less invasive options. We are leaving it up to the person that adopts Daffy. I am happy to send videos and xrays to potential approved adopters. She is a darling dog and has a good quality of life. Story
CURRENTLY FOSTERED IN TEXAS Carnie (more brown/tan) and Wendy (brown and white/ a bit older) Carnie is apx 6 years young and 7 pounds, Wendy apx 8 years young and 6.2 pounds. These girls are probably not litter mates but most likely still “sisters” they were in a southern Texas high kill shelter. We are unsure how they got there but they were terrified and dirty. Carnie was literally crying when I was bathing her, it was terribly sad. These girls are very sweet, quiet and gentle, I know someone loved them once upon a time. They were not spayed ( of course now they are ) but it does appear they had dentals as Wendy is missing several teeth and the ones still intact look good for her age, and Carnie may have had a cleaning, none missing but there is not a substantial amount of tarter for a dog her age. Carnie is more sensitive and shy, scared, has the shaky chihuahua thing when she is nervous but never ever aggressive. Wendy is a little more confident and trusting. Both are extremely docile and demure. They are absolute dolls and we adore them, they are so well mannered. The girls do seem to be somewhat potty trained and will go outside potty or use the potty pads at night time. They are 110% lap babies Great with other dogs, cats and well mannered older children. Do to their age and small size, very hyper large dogs, hyper puppies or toddlers, on a full time live in basis would probably not make them very happy, but I think visits from any of the above would be fine. These girls are super low key, calm, shy, loving couch potatoes. They MUST be adopted together, they are very bonded.

Story
LEXI is currently being fostered in TEXAS. Lexi is a very funny girl. The most outgoing of her siblings and the water baby of the group. Lexi is apx 4-8 months old and 15 pounds. She will probably be about 20-25 pounds fully grown. Mama is a chi mix about 15 pounds. We are guessing by the looks of the other siblings there is some chi, maybe a dash of pug and daddy may have been a border collie. Lexi is social, happy, loving, adorable, full of energy and you just can’t help but want to love her and laugh at her. She is going to make a wonderful part of your family, and will certainly make your days brighter and your hearts fuller. Lexi is great with other dogs, cats and kiddos. A busy fun family would be best for her. Approved adopters please send your hold requests to the email you were given.
