PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - HOLT Looking for a new furry friend? Look no further than Holt! This young, male pup is friendly, affectionate, gentle and quiet, and is looking for a forever home where he can be the center of attention. Despite his youth, Holt is a very wise and calm dog and will be a great companion for an animal lover who is looking for a lovely pet. Holt came to us from a NC shelter after his owner passed away. He lived with several other small dogs, and has been kind to the others in rescue. He's in good health - already neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. He tested negative for heart worms and has lovely teeth befitting a dog 1-2 years of age. If you're ready to open your heart and your home to this sweetheart, please get in touch. He's waiting to meet you! Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of the dog and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and the dog at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting the dog and determining that it matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner. Story
PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - COLE Hi there, my name is Cole, and I'm an affectionate and playful young pup with a lot of love to give! Even though I'm still just a youngster, I already have so much love and energy packed into my little body. I am friendly, and I am sure that I will provide you with a lifetime of happiness. I'm definitely the boss when it comes to other dogs and I definitely like to eat alone, but I love people and I can't wait to find a family of my own to shower with love and wet kisses. My previous owner died and I was without her in the house and scared. I am ready for a new family to give me a second opportunity. If you choose to welcome me into your home, I promise to be the best pup-son you could ever ask for! I am already neutered, microchipped and I have had my first vaccines. The vets say I am in very good health! I need a home with a fenced yard and without larger animals to keep me safe, and I don't think being with little children would be my favorite thing. Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of both Cole and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and your family to meet Cole at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting him and determining that he matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner. Story
This extra-adorable little fellow is Clay, a friendly, affectionate, and gentle dog who loves nothing more than receiving kisses from his human friends. Despite his young age, Clay is a very calm and well-behaved dog who is always eager to please. He is a smart dog who is quick to learn and responds well to positive reinforcement and treats. Unfortunately, Clay's previous owner passed away, leaving him and four other small dogs alone, and searching for a new home and family. He is used to other small dogs, and also used to a quiet and predictable lifestyle, which is what we seek for him. Larger dogs and young children will ge concerning, and we place great emphasis on homes with private, fully fenced yards. Clay is in good health, neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. He tested negative for heart worms and is on prevention. Clay is a wonderful companion who is looking for a loving home where he can be showered with affection and care. Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of Clay and our adoption criteria.
