Story
This sweet litle boy is sure to bring new life to any family. Lucky was a recent owner surrender to CHS. He is about 2 years old, and weighs in right around 17lbs. He is very funny, can be a little shy when he first meets new people, but once you give him some food he is your best friend. He loves to play fetch, he has reportedly lived with kids and cats. So far Lucky has not been overly friendly with dogs at the shelter, but he also hasn't had much time to settle in. His family said they took him to the dog parks and beach, but he didn't interact much with the other dogs, he prefered to be left alone. He is potty trained, and also trained to use potty pads if he needs to. This little guy is a character. If you are interested in meeting him we ask that you please email adoption@columbiahumane.org in order to obtain an adoption contract. His adoption fee is $250.00 that includes him being current on all vaccinations, neutered, treated for fleas and treated for worms. For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgJanuary 8, 2025, 5:38 am

Story
Mel is a 12 yr old chiweenie who has had the life! His owner passed and he has been with us ever since. He is a wonderful dog that just wants to find a lap to sit in and snuggle with. ! He does not really love other dogs. He would prefer a home that he does not have to compete for attention. At his age, he deserves all the loves! Mel came to us with a rotten mouth, unneutered, and had not seen a vet in many years. Since he has been here, we have gotten his medical needs met! He is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and has had a full mouth dental extraction so he now longer has any teeth. Don't let that get you down! He is a MUCH happier dog today because of it. If you are interested in him, please fill out our application and we will reach out! We are slow to respond due to how busy we remain, so please be patient with us! Story
Maisel was born on 9/5/2022 in Tennessee and made her way to Michigan via a pet rescue, where she was spayed. She has been living with our family since November 2022 with our other dog and two kids. She loves to snuggle with you on the couch and feels deep pride in waking up the kids in the morning for school. At 28 lbs, she has a chihuahua personality and the sleeping skills of a pitbull. She's house trained and is very food motivated. In October, Maisel was diagnosed with Addison's Disease. She requires medication and frequent trips to the vet.
