Story
Tater!  He's a 2-year-old Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix.  Tater loves people and enjoys attention and playtime.  He wouldn't go near our cats, so it seems he is intimidated by them.  He's super affectionate and loads of fun!  He seems to like the girl dogs best, as he is newly neutered.  He would do best with children 8 years and older.  He's doing very well on his housebreaking. Please Note:  You must live within a 175-mile radius of our facility to be considered for adoption. To fill out an online application to adopt this pet, cut and paste this link:  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/2627/generic Or you can find a link to our online adoption application on our website at www.hartforanimals.org/adopt - or on our Petfinder homepage.  We process applications in the order they are received, therefore, it could take UP TO 2 weeks for us to respond to your application. Please do not send us an inquiry unless you have specific questions. All our dogs/puppies are spayed or neutered, vaccinated for rabies, Bordetella, and distemper/parvo, given flea medication, heartworm tested, and given a microchip before going to their new home. ##2094941##

APPLY HERE https://is.gd/pawsfor&#226&#128&#139seniorsapp (Application opens in a new browser window.) Norma-Jean is a sweet little senior lady who came to us from a near-by shelter after her "stray-hold" was up and no one claimed her. She is estimated at 14 years old and has been fully vetted including full blood analysis, a microchip, (so she never becomes homeless again), and a dental, where she lost the remaining of her teeth. This little 11 pound girl is seeking a home where someone is home most of the time and can take her on liesurly walks. She still has plenty of spunk and does enjoy an occasional walk, but mostly snuggles.Paws For Seniors Adoption Process Thank you for your interest in adopting a Paws For Seniors pet. Story
Hopper is a real doll baby!  Weighing only 4 to 5 puppy pounds, he’ll mature to less than 10 pounds. Due to his petite size, children in the home should be older than ten years or have experience handling small dogs. A 6-month-old mix of Chihuahua and Yorkie, Hopper sports a long coat of Yorkie colors.  He’s a very friendly fellow who is good with other dogs and cats, always ready for a bit of play.  What a sweetheart!  (posted 7/28/24, TN)       **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption: $395 which covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip and an Alabama State Health Certificate.   Transport, if needed  $160   We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip . We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs.  August 20, 2024, 2:33 pm

Story
Gwyneth is a happy 3- to 4-month-old puppy with a great personality!  A mix of Chihuahua and Terrier, she weighs only 10 to 12 puppy pounds and her adult weight will still be that of a small dog which is less than 25 pounds. With her short coat of mostly white with tan, she’s quite a pretty girl.  She’s great with other dogs, kids and her foster’s cat!  Such a fine little girl dog she is!!! Story
Meet Hardy, a 2-year-old Chihuahua mix! He has reached his mature light weight of only 6 pounds. Due to his petite size, children in the home should be older than ten years or have experience handling small dogs. Hardy wears a handsome short tan and white coat. He is a big lovebug and constantly wants to curl up in someone's lap. He loves covering himself up in his blankets and playing with his toys. Hardy also does well on a leash and is amazing with other dogs and cats! Adopt Hardy and let this sweet boy fill your life with love!
