🐾 Meet Artemis! 🐾 If you're looking for a sweet, doe-eyed girl with ears she’s still growing into, look no further—Arty is your girl! Artemis had a tough start in life, spending the first part of her life forced to live in a crate that was too small for her. Due to this confinement, her back legs couldn’t stretch and grow properly, her front legs became deformed, growing at an angled direction, and her spine has a slight curve. Despite all of this, she’s a little fighter who doesn’t let anything slow her down! She hops like a bunny and puts most of her weight on her front legs, but she’s full of love and joy. Her legs and back don't hold her back from living a normal, active life. Artemis still runs, plays, and enjoys all the things any pup loves to do. She does not experience any pain due to her deformities and is expected to live a long, happy life. While she may develop some arthritis later in life due to her unique condition, she is not expected to face any major medical issues because of it. Arty is extremely sweet and affectionate, always ready to give cuddles and share her love with those around her. She loves to play, chew on bones, and eat just like any other pup! She can be timid in new situations and prefers to take things slow. When she’s unsure, she heads straight to her crate—her cozy safe space. Meet Montana! This sweet little lady is making great progress with house training. While she’s had a few accidents, she does well as long as she stays on a consistent schedule. She’s also crate-trained, sleeping soundly through the night and settling in without a fuss when left alone. In fact, her crate is her safe space, and she often chooses to nap there on her own. Montana loves following her foster mom around the house and enjoys unwinding with the other dogs. She has fun trotting around the fenced yard but is always eager to come back inside when called. She does have a significant heart murmur caused by two heart valves that do not function properly. However, she shows no symptoms and remains a happy, loving companion. Her heart condition doesn’t slow her down—she’s still full of life, affection, and joy! Montana gets along wonderfully with other dogs, doesn’t mind cats, and is incredibly friendly with people. With her sweet, silly personality and love for snuggles, she’s sure to make an amazing companion. It`s kind of scary to make new friends when you`re a shy guy like me, but I sure try! I`m Ernie, a cute as can be, 7-year-old Chihuahua mix. I`m here at Animal Ark because, unfortunately, my owner became ill and couldn`t continue my care. I am used to living in a home with just the 2 of us, so I would do best as the only pet in my new home, without children. Once I get to know you, I want to be your lap companion and get all the attention you can give. I`m very smart and know lots of commands, plus I`m crate trained and housebroken. I will need some time to adjust to new surroundings so I`m looking for a patient owner who will work with me on getting comfortable. Please fill out an adoption application online we can get a meet and greet scheduled!
