Story
I received Océano who I call pups, when he was roughly 6m, he is 2 now. At the time, I was unaware of allergies to long hair dogs. And unaware my daughter is allergic to all dogs. She suffers from many health conditions and while trying my best to keep them separated so he does not need to rehome, my best efforts have not been successful and she continues to be affected. I also work a lot and do not have time to give him the attention he is needing and my daughter can’t play with him. Oceano is an anxious, high energy dog with a big personality and a big attention seeker. He also does not like fast movements around him and will bark. He needs to go to a family that has the time, patience, and energy for him or a family with other small/medium dogs for him to play with. He loves to play catch and tug a war and will bring toys to you when he wants to play. And he loves to be close and cuddly. He is microchipped, and there is no fee for adopting, we just want him to go to a good home.

Story
Roo is a male chiweenie. He is 11 years old, categorized as a senior dog but he can run, jump, and play like a young pup. He was given to me from a friend in Laytonville, California at 10 weeks old. Roo loves to cuddle, explore his surroundings, and snuggle up under any blanket he can find. His favorite place to sit or sleep is in a person's lap. He can sit, spin, and wait for a treat. However, Roo was not properly socialized as a pup, so he is aggressive towards dogs, cats, kids, and adults. He has an extensive history of biting. He has bit 1 child, 2 dogs, and 3 adults. He has attempted to bite my kid once. We attempted to rehome him with family but he ended up tearing through carpets more than once. So we have him back home. We are hoping someone with lots of patience & understanding can teach this old dog new tricks and have the skills to support his behaviors. He really is sweet with people he cares about & I hope he finds someone to give him the guidance he deserves! Thanks!

Long-Haired Chihuahua Mix Age: 3-5 years Male, neutered 11 lbs Adoption Fee: $125 (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) PLEASE NOTE: We do not adopt any of our dogs out to families with children under the age of 13. Here is what Bodhi’s foster family has to say about him: “Meet our foster dog, Bodhi. He's a Heinz 57 of dogs, a little bit of everything. Bodhi is a character, and can be a little quirky. It took him a week before he wanted to have anything to do with us. After that week, he came out of his shell. He is a loving dog, that would be great in a home with 1-2 adults, no children. He would do great being the only dog. He can be a lap guarder, and he does not like to share said lap with other dogs. Bodhi is great on leash walks, and he is getting used to hanging out in the yard while I garden. When we started bringing him outside, he would do his business and then go back inside. Now, he is learning to hang out outside and relax. When Bodhi gets excited, he becomes a bit of mouthy player. (He does not bite down.) Just to add some observations from Bodhi’s previous foster home - he is pretty much a “one person” or “one family” dog. He is not too keen on interacting with strangers (visitors to your home or out in public). Potential adopters should be prepared to give Bodhi time to adjust to a new environment and new owners. He will likely take at least a couple weeks to trust and feel comfortable. It won't happen overnight. For more information about Bodhi, contact nobodysperfektdogs@gmail.com

Story
Chihuahuas Age: 4 yrs / 1 yr Females, spayed 9 / 7 lbs Adoption Fee: $125 (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) Kanga and Roo came to us from the San Mateo SPCA. Kanga wasn’t at risk, and would have been available for adoption at the shelter. However, her surviving puppy (the other one died at the shelter), Roo, was special needs and was still nursing, so we had to take Kanga and the puppy, Roo, together. After separating them for a while once Roo was weaned, we decided to put them back together after Roo recovered from her surgeries. Kanga came from a very bad hoarding situation. She was very underweight (which probably contributed to the poor condition of her two puppies). She is very healthy now, and ready to be adopted. Roo showed signs of congenital birth defects in her legs (not surprising, given her rough start). Three of her legs were “good enough” for mobility, while the 4th leg was pretty messed up. We decided to do a series of surgeries to realign the bones on the worst leg. She is fully recovered and gets around pretty good (although, not sure that she could take long walks - maybe a stroller is in her future?) Kanga can be very shy and cautious when meeting new people, but when she does feel comfortable, she is super sweet and affectionate. Roo, as a puppy, loves everyone. Please note that we don’t adopt any of our dogs out to homes with children under the age of 13. For more information about Kanga & Roo, contact nobodysperfektdogs@gmail.com

Story
Chihuahua Mixes Age: < 1 yrs old Males, neutered 10 lbs Adoption Fee: $125 (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) Rocco and Milhouse were left in the shelter’s night drop box in a cardboard box. They were very unsocialized (likely they were just backyard puppies that no one wanted). The shelter staff were unable to handle them, and they were deemed “unadoptable” so they contacted us. We originally took the dog with the most issues (Rocco), thinking maybe Milhouse would eventually come around. Rocco remained skittish in his foster home, while Milhouse became more handle-able. We decided to also pull Milhouse into a different foster home to evaluate him. It was decided to reunite the brothers in the same foster home to see if that would help with their insecurities. It did - Rocco started making progress. We have decided to adopt them out together. Both puppies get along with each other and other dogs. They are still somewhat insecure - Rocco is more “alpha” and vocal about his insecurities, while Milhouse is more submissive and needy. Neither dog has shown fear aggression. If you have a chance to grab Rocco, he submits pretty quickly to being held and given attention. They walk on leashes and are doing well with housebreaking. Please note that we don’t adopt any of our dogs out to homes with children under the age of 13. For more information about Rocco and Milhouse, contact: nobodysperfektdogs@gmail.com
