Hi. My name is Max, a 14lb Chiweenie. My parents got a divorce and could no longer keep me. I love to go on walks and walk pretty briskly! My foster mom and dad have 3 other small dogs, I like them so long as they respect my space. I am happy to hang out with teenagers but small children are too fast & loud for me. I'm super sweet with my foster mom and dad but can't wait to find my new forever home, hopefully with a retired person or couple who like to stroll & cuddle on the couch. That's my speed! Our adoption fee covers an initial comprehensive veterinary examination, age-appropriate vaccinations, a heartworm test, (for dogs > 12 months), parasite screening with treatment if needed, flea/tick treatment if needed, microchip, spay/neuter, heartworm preventative medication, (for dogs > 3 months) plus any other medication or treatment needed up until the day they are adopted.

With a trusting bond, his sweet self comes out. Best way to his heart is a good belly rub which makes him happy. As Johnny Papa may be a bit hesitant with the antics and impulsive natures of little ones, a child-free home would be the best environment for him to flourish.         Skarlet did not have a great start to life. She came to Angels with her son Johnny Papa. They do not need to be adopted together but would not mind it. Skarlet is an 8-10-pound Chihuahua who was not socialized. She is very scared and takes time to warm up to new people, and she prefers women. Once she trusts you, she is very sweet and loves to play and snuggle. Skarlet’s perfect home would be a female home with the experience, time, and patience to help an unsocialized dog.  She will also need an adult household.     Chikis is a 12.5-year-old Chiweenie with a heart of gold. This charming little guy has been with our rescue for four years, patiently waiting for his forever home. While he may take a bit of time to settle in, once he does, he's an absolute sweetheart!   Chikis would thrive in a quiet home without children, where he can enjoy a calm environment. He's a loyal companion who forms deep bonds with his humans, but he needs a patient family willing to give him the time he needs to feel comfortable.   It's important to note that this old man may display some snappiness, especially when he's startled from relaxation mode in his dog bed.
