Story
Clifford is mostly Chow. He weighs around 60 pounds and we estimate he is around 2 years old. He was dumped on the side of a rural road with a litter of puppies and was rescued by good Samaritans. Clifford is a super wonderful dog. He is sweet, gentle, and good-natured. He especially loves puppies and gentle children. We do not know how he would do with cats. Clifford is a very good boy. He is crate-trained, sits on command, and walks well on a leash. Texas is extremely hot, and Clifford is happy to be in his crate inside the air-conditioned house. We are working on housetraining and he could probably use other gentle obedience training. Clifford rides well in a vehicle but is a bit nervous about getting into the vehicle. He is shy with new people (especially men) and takes some time to trust. Clifford is sensitive and scared of mean voices, rough treatment, and dogs that are mean to him. We are sure he was not treated well by whoever had him before. Clifford needs to be treated gently so he will trust you. Once he trusts you or another dog, he becomes happy and playful. Clifford deserves a wonderful home. He must be in the house as a loved member of the family. He must be walked on a leash and have a fenced yard to run and play. Clifford is neutered, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Clifford has been treated for heartworms and is now heartworm-free. He gets monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Clifford is ready to change his zip code. He is located in Texas but can be transported after he is adopted. Clifford's adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to Vancouver WA. Story
Thumper is a sweet boy with a funny personality in need of a new home! He is a very calm dog who likes to sleep most of the day but he will be so happy to see you when you come home. He would be perfect in a home with a fenced yard to run around in and/or regular walks. Thumper is very well potty trained and is very treat motivated. He enjoys a walk but he will let you know when he’s had enough. Chow chows are not very high energy and enjoy a chill environment. He will just hang out with you most of the day. Very low maintenance and ideal in a home with no small animals. Please contact if you would like further details :)

Story
Layla is the biggest, most adorablest floof ever! We really should have named her Little Bear, because Miss Layla is just so cute like a fluffy teddy bear! Honestly, super sweet, potty trained, loyal…what else do you want!? Layla is being fostered in Houston, Texas with small dogs male and female and gets along great with them. She isn’t a big player and spends most of her days snoozing on the floor or playing with her favorite purple monster stuffy. She is a very calm dog. She does enjoy watching for squirrels through the window and if given the opportunity, she will give them a little chase, but has yet to get close to one! This dainty little lady is estimated to be 3 years old and weighs about 40 pounds. We think she is a Chow Chow mix, but we aren’t really sure, so we just call her our Texas Special- which is the very best breed. Layla is so very smart! She knows how to sit, shake and lay down. Watch her in action on her video! Ridinging in the car with Layla is a dream. She loads up like a champ and is a great passenger, sitting quietly on the seat. She loves to look and the window and on longer rides will lay down in the seat and chill. No back seat driving from this girl! Layla is really good on the leash (only getting distracted by squirrels), but is easily redirected. She walks by other people and dogs with no notice, although everyone wants to look at her! She is the perfect companion for a morning coffee run (don’t forget her pup cup), to take the kids to school, or a late afternoon ice cream treat. Potty trained? Yes! Crate trained? Yes- but she does have to be tricked to go in the crate by tossing in a delicious treat and telling her to get in bed. At night, she does prefer to stay in her foster’s room, but does not get in the bed, but instead sleeps UNDER the bed. Layla is not a couch dog, but her foster is trying to get her to be! She lays right at your feet and wants to be by your side. She can be coaxed on the couch where she rolls around and snuggles for a few, but then goes back to staying right by your feet! When Layla attended a play group at the rescue she got along great with the other dogs, but wasn’t a big player. She hung in the sidelines. She met the rescue act Tom and was not reactive at all. If you have a feline in your life, we can have her spend more time with him! Layla has met many children and done great, however we always recommend that children are taught and expected to have proper boundaries with all dogs! If you need a dainty little floof in your life, apply below and and an adoption coordinator will reach out to see if you are a match! Please email Jodi@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
