Story
Mooncake is a beautiful, plush, and happy chow chow with an estimated birthdate of 01/17/2023. She came to Murci's Mission from our partners at SCRAPS.  Before applying for Mooncake, please make sure that you understand the temperament of a chow chow. To someone seeking a regular family pet, Mooni might seem problematic, but to someone seeking a chow chow, she will be exactly as expected. She is highly standoffish to new people and will never be accepting of physical handling by strangers. When meeting her, it will be expected that potential adopters know to ignore her and let her take the greeting at her own pace. Anyone who does not honor this and forces themselves upon her with physical touch she is not ready for or interested in will be at risk of being bitten which would be entirely unfair and avoidable since the information and expectations are clearly presented here.  Mooni finds men to be more intimidating than women, so any future men in her life will have to be patient, but she will slowly and surely make friends. She is not suitable in a home with kids below 10. She has been outstanding with other dogs and has accepted corrections from large and small dogs, however, she rarely needs one. She good on leash, responsive to spray bottle corrections, and accepts being crated although she can pant heavily and bark every so often when she feels some containment stress. She is great for car rides, hasn't peed inside, and is an expert spooning partner once she trusts her person.  Mooncake's ideal family will be one who had patience and understanding of aloof dogs who have no use for unknown people. She would love to be included in outings with the family but will require a strong advocate who will be able to tell passerbys that they cannot pet her even though she's terribly cute. She would also be ok with staying home for the most part. She has been respectful in the house and is low/mid energy.  If you'd like to learn more about chow chows, please visit here: https://www.chowclub.org/ccci/training-socialization-behavior Mooni comes spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed. Her adoption fee is $200 and includes her leash, collar, ID tag, muzzle for scary vet and groomer visits, food sample, and medical records. To be considered to adopt, please begin by visiting www.murcismission.org and sending in an application.  Thank you for checking out our girl.  ##2280689##

Story
3-year-old Black Chow Chow needs rehoming due to not getting along with other pets in the household. She has a very calm demeanor. Most days, she loves to laze around the house. She is a sweet dog who loves to be near you, lying a few feet from you to keep an eye on things and to lounge around in the backyard/patio. She is good with kids, alert, and a great guard dog; she only barks when someone is at the door. She has been spayed, potty trained, and up to date on vaccinations. We will happily donate all of her current supplies, including food puzzles, a slow feeder, a rain jacket, toys, boots, current food and medications, and more. Our ideal family to take Bear would be one where she is the only pet in the household and with a yard. She is friendly with other dogs on walks but doesn't like living with other dogs or cats. She needs a patient, loving family that can provide the care she needs. For those interested, more details will be shared.

Story
Gladio is a VERY good boy. He is 4 years old and is a neutered chow mix. He loves to play and he loves to be around people. He gets scared when he is alone. The only reason I am giving him up is that I am getting divorced and neither my ex or I can keep him. He will come with bags of food, his crate, all his toys and supplies.

Story
Hello! I'm Yona! Age: 3 years Breed:*Chow Chow/Jindo Mix Color: Brown Weight:18 kg Status: Neutered Male My Story: I was rescued just in time from a kill shelter, and now I'm searching for my forever home where I can share all my love and happiness! Despite having a tough past, including some abuse, I'm ready to trust and bond with a loving family who will be patient and kind with me. All About Me: Shy but Sweet: I might be a little timid when we first meet, but offer me a yummy snack, and I'll warm up to you quickly! Once I feel comfortable, I'll even show you my belly for some gentle rubs. Friendly with Other Dogs: I enjoy greeting other dogs, whether they're big or small. I don't usually engage in play, but I'm always polite and avoid any kind of confrontation. Making new doggy friends is fun! People-Focused Walker: On our walks, I love focusing all my attention on you. Cats and other distractions don't bother me much; I'm happiest staying by your side and enjoying our time together. Outdoor Enthusiast: I have a normal energy level and enjoy exploring the outdoors. After our adventures, I like to relax and rest quietly by your side. Maybe we can cuddle up together? Learning the Ropes: I do tend to pull on the leash a bit, but I'm currently in training and getting better every day! With your guidance and patience, I'll become the perfect walking companion in no time. Easygoing Eater: I don't guard my food and am happy to share space during mealtime. Treats and dinner times are enjoyable and stress-free with me around. Toy Lover: I'm discovering the joy of playing with toys and absolutely love it! Since I didn't have many toys before, each playtime is a new and exciting adventure for me. Let's have some fun together! Gentle Affection: Because of my past, sudden touches can startle me. I prefer to come to you on my own terms and enjoy gentle, loving pets. Give me a little time, and I'll show you just how affectionate I can be. Potty Trained: I'm comfortable doing my business both indoors on pads and outside. I'm smart and can easily adapt to whatever routine suits our home best. Calm and Composed: I'm very calm when resting in a kennel and appreciate having a cozy space to relax. Quiet moments are some of my favorites. Why You'll Love Me: I'm a sweet and loving boy who's overcome a tough start and is ready to share my heart with a family who understands me. With a little patience and a lot of love, I'll be the most loyal and affectionate companion you could ask for. Let's fill our days with gentle walks, fun playtimes, and cozy cuddles! Are you the special someone I've been waiting for?** Let's meet and start our happily ever after together! I can't wait to be a part of your family. Story
Tulie is a bouncy, happy and loving floofy best friend type, looking for love! She’s a perfect adventure dog, with leash skills and sociability that will make any outing more enjoyable with her by your side. She’s confident and athletic enough for the most treacherous hike, but soft and sweet enough to enjoy hours and hours of couch snuggles. She’s well suited for family dog life with older kids, and amazing with other dogs. She’s a husky lover’s dream and she’s available for adoption! Tulie currently weighs in at a lap sized 42 pounds, and we believe her to be an Husky, Chow Chow mix. She is a rescue- so these are just our best guesses. Tulie is estimated to be around 2 years old- still young and trainable, but past the terrors of puppyhood. Meet Tulie here: https://youtu.be/RVW96UOVm1A?feature=shared Tulie is best described as a moderate energy girl- she has the stamina to accompany you wherever you’d like to go, but she has a softness to her that makes quiet nights in enjoyable as well. She’s respectful and friendly with everyone she meets, she keeps all four paws on the floor and soaks up attention with gratitude and a big smile. Tulie is described by those who know her best as “obedient” and “adaptable.” She’s ready to fit right into any Husky lover’s home. Tulie is amazing with other dogs, and could do well in a multi-dog household, or as a solo dog. She has a bouncy, happy, enthusiastic play style with other dogs. She shares affection, attention and treats well with other dogs. Here at the rescue, Tulie was tested with kids and we found that she does great with kids over ten! Tulie has great house manners too, she’s very respectful of furniture and her surroundings. She would make a perfect family dog! Tulie’s favorite things are other dogs, outside time, and the swimming pool. She loves toys and treats too! Tulie is polite when she takes treats, and food motivated, making further training enjoyable and rewarding for both of you. Tulie is ready for life as your best friend. This perfect floofy pup is well-suited for family dog life, life as a member of the pack, or life as your only child! Adaptable and adorable! We are willing to test Tulie with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: ● Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family ● Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test ● 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion ● A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions ● 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription ● Coupons for a fun visit to Petco ● 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions ● Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer ● Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms.
