Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Hi, I'm Astro, a 8-year-old Chow/Lab mix. Don't let my serious face fool you, I'm a goofy sweet guy! I like to get to know my people slowly, but once I do I love your pets and scratches and I'll even sit in your lap! I'm very food motivated and guard my food and toys with growls and can be stubborn. I love to go for walks and walk well on a leash. I know lots of commands (sit, stay, up, down, lay down, shake, wait, let's go) and love performing for treats. I was recently in a foster home and here are some of my likes/dislikes that they shared about me… Like: food!, exercise/walks and agility, butt scratches, sleeping in my crate, chewing my toys, watching out the window, music, water, other dogs, comfy beds, getting baths Don't like: brushes, towels and loud trucks Astro would do best as the only dog in a house without kids or other small animals since he can be protective and is strong. He will need a family familiar with protection breeds like chows. Astro is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. His fee is $200.

Story
Jesse was born on a farm and was rehomed to me when she was 3 years old. She is currently 8 years old and her birthday is September 7th making her a Virgo. We’ve had an amazing life together. She has recently had one of her eyes removed. She has not changed a bit since the operation. Other than a permanent wink, she is very happy and healthy. Her temperament is very calm. She loves hikes but loves walks around the city just as much. Jesse is the perfect dog to take on adventures and the perfect cuddle companion.

Story
*hair blowing in the wind (even though she's indoors)* *unexplained sparkles in the air* *faint heavenly music* Yes, she is me. Chloe. Now that you are blinded by my beauty, let me explain why I am the absolute best girl on the inside too and so deserving of your (and everyone's) undivided adoration. I'm loyal, smart as a whip, and FUN, just to name a few. Unfortunately, I didn't come from the most glamorous beginnings. I was an outdoor doggy with not much interaction from birth and my family also left me behind when they moved. Thus, I wasn't really brought up interacting with you humans or being touched/handled. I've had my quirks while adjusting to being a family dog and will definitely need someone patient and understanding with me. (If you get too touchy right away, I don't like that and will try to protect myself.) However, if you are slow and gain my trust I will HANG on your every move. I have adjusted very quickly in the past with proper introductions to people. Even still, I would probably do best in a home without young children. I'm a lady after all and need time to sniff you out before you get grabby. I am an active girl and love to feel the wind in my hair outdoors too. I run with the speed of light and have a prey drive to sniff out bugs, lizards and more. I also love to play tug of war and fetch with my foster mommy inside. I bounce, bounce, bounce all the time! I am great on leash so walks and hikes would be great for me. Getting my energy out will help me focus on training too. I am very smart and learn quickly, but tend to lose interest if I'm still chock full of go, go, go!! With all of this perfection, all of your pet needs should be fulfilled, right? RIGHT? I hope so because I would do great as an only pet in the home. I have been able to co-exist with dogs at the rescue but I am a bit of a diva in my foster home. I have a domineering personality sometimes and will even mark like a male when I come across another dog's scent in my house. How dare they??? Existing? HERE? (She is otherwise house trained.) Considering that you and I know each other a little better now, you may pet me. Yes, I am very soft, I know. Please keep in mind that I am a Chow/shepherd mix and have hair that will require brushing, maybe even the occasional spa treatment, Swedish massage, 24k gold facials...yeahhhhhhhhhh.... Sorry! I forgot you were here. In all seriousness, once I trust you, I will allow you to brush me out without much fuss. It doesn't need to be daily but I am a rough and tumble kinda gal and can use help keeping my locks flowing and free. I also shed so if I seem to be losing my girlish figure, it's probably just extra hair that needs to be brushed off. I hope you have a strong vacuum. ;) I could go on for days about myself, but I'll stop here. Don't wanna overwhelm you. If you think you are up for the challenge of a total spitfire like me, please feel free to send in an application and foster mommy can tell you more about all of the grandeur that is...CHLOE. Adoption application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/GDR/Dog Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Story
3-year-old Black Chow Chow needs rehoming due to not getting along with other pets in the household. She has a very calm demeanor. Most days, she loves to laze around the house. She is a sweet dog who loves to be near you, lying a few feet from you to keep an eye on things and to lounge around in the backyard/patio. She is good with kids, alert, and a great guard dog; she only barks when someone is at the door. She has been spayed, potty trained, and up to date on vaccinations. We will happily donate all of her current supplies, including food puzzles, a slow feeder, a rain jacket, toys, boots, current food and medications, and more. Our ideal family to take Bear would be one where she is the only pet in the household and with a yard. She is friendly with other dogs on walks but doesn't like living with other dogs or cats. She needs a patient, loving family that can provide the care she needs. For those interested, more details will be shared.

Story
Hello! I'm Yona! Age: 3 years Breed:*Chow Chow/Jindo Mix Color: Brown Weight:18 kg Status: Neutered Male My Story: I was rescued just in time from a kill shelter, and now I'm searching for my forever home where I can share all my love and happiness! Despite having a tough past, including some abuse, I'm ready to trust and bond with a loving family who will be patient and kind with me. All About Me: Shy but Sweet: I might be a little timid when we first meet, but offer me a yummy snack, and I'll warm up to you quickly! Once I feel comfortable, I'll even show you my belly for some gentle rubs. Friendly with Other Dogs: I enjoy greeting other dogs, whether they're big or small. I don't usually engage in play, but I'm always polite and avoid any kind of confrontation. Making new doggy friends is fun! People-Focused Walker: On our walks, I love focusing all my attention on you. Cats and other distractions don't bother me much; I'm happiest staying by your side and enjoying our time together. Outdoor Enthusiast: I have a normal energy level and enjoy exploring the outdoors. After our adventures, I like to relax and rest quietly by your side. Maybe we can cuddle up together? Learning the Ropes: I do tend to pull on the leash a bit, but I'm currently in training and getting better every day! With your guidance and patience, I'll become the perfect walking companion in no time. Easygoing Eater: I don't guard my food and am happy to share space during mealtime. Treats and dinner times are enjoyable and stress-free with me around. Toy Lover: I'm discovering the joy of playing with toys and absolutely love it! Since I didn't have many toys before, each playtime is a new and exciting adventure for me. Let's have some fun together! Gentle Affection: Because of my past, sudden touches can startle me. I prefer to come to you on my own terms and enjoy gentle, loving pets. Give me a little time, and I'll show you just how affectionate I can be. Potty Trained: I'm comfortable doing my business both indoors on pads and outside. I'm smart and can easily adapt to whatever routine suits our home best. Calm and Composed: I'm very calm when resting in a kennel and appreciate having a cozy space to relax. Quiet moments are some of my favorites. Why You'll Love Me: I'm a sweet and loving boy who's overcome a tough start and is ready to share my heart with a family who understands me. With a little patience and a lot of love, I'll be the most loyal and affectionate companion you could ask for. Let's fill our days with gentle walks, fun playtimes, and cozy cuddles! Are you the special someone I've been waiting for?** Let's meet and start our happily ever after together! I can't wait to be a part of your family.
