Story
Ziggy Cockapoo Male Grey 12 years old 28 lbs Meet ZIGGY, the precious 12-year-old Cockapoo searching for a forever home filled with love and care. Ziggy may be older, but his heart is as youthful as ever. Despite his blindness, he navigates the world with grace, relying on his other senses to guide him. His sweetness knows no bounds, and his gentle spirit will melt your heart. As soon as he smells your leg, his tail wags enthusiastically, and he rubs his head on you, happy as can be. Ziggy gets along well with his foster siblings and has never had any issues, even when they approach him while he eats. Ziggy has impeccable house manners and has never had an accident inside. He always waits until he is let outside. He adjusted very quickly to his foster home and loves to nap all day with some belly rubs. While he may not be up for many walks, he is perfect for someone who works from home as he is quiet and mellow during the day. If you're ready to open your heart and home to a senior pup who deserves all the love in the world, Ziggy is waiting for you. Let's give him the happily ever after he so deserves! Please Note: **No children under 12!** If you are interested in adopting ZIGGY please go to our website www.somersetcottagepoodlerescue.org to see our adoption process and download the adoption application ZIGGY's adoption donation is $550

Story
Beetle is a very energetic Miniature Poodle mix (we believe he’s mixed with Shih Tuz, but no official DNA test performed) that will do tricks for a treat! We are looking for someone who has time for walks or play time. A house with back yard or a play area would be ideal because he has a lot of energy. He loves to run around, be chased at times, and play fetch (for a few minutes lol). Can be shy/moody at times and want to be by hisself, but mostly just wants attention and to be loved on and cuddle. He likes to play with the dogs, but takes a moment for him to get acclimated, as he will initially bark at dogs say like when walking and he sees other dogs, but after a few he won’t bark as much, or at all.

Story
Meet Brandy!  She is a 9 year old, 10 lb Apricot miniature poodle.  She and her sister Becky have spent their lives in the care of a breeder.  Their working days are now over and they are in a wonderful foster home where they are learning to be pets.  Brandy is reserved but not scared.  You can see her sweetness in her little face and eyes.  She is adjusting well to life in a home and gets along well with everyone.  Brandy loves to be outside taking in all the smells and relaxing in the sun.  She quickly learned the doggie door and can go in and out when she needs to.  This is definitely helping with her house manners.  Brandy cuddles with her sister and is starting to enjoy life.  She has a soft bed to lay in and lots of love coming her way.  She just needs a person or couple that will be patient and help her to adjust to all the new things she will be experiencing.  She is learning that riding in the car is not a bad thing and working on walking on a leash.  (That might take a bit.)  With lots of love and attention Brandy will turn into a loyal and loving companion.  Will that be with you.  Brandy has been spayed and is current on all shots, heartworm negative and microchipped.  To be considered for her forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Brandy is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)August 19, 2024, 2:03 pm

Story
This sweet little 8 1/2 lb girl is called Bonnie and her story is so very sad but happening way too many times these days. She is in a very small town of Tennessee and recently lost her mom and the family wanted nothing to do with her precious little 6-year-old poodle called Bonnie. So, what did they do, but put her outside on a tie out and pay no attention to her. She soon became sunburned, matted and full of fleas. She also developed an extreme sadness and fearful nature as she felt the vulnerability of being tied out on a stake. A good neighbor came to her rescue and took her to a groomer to have her shaved down. The groomer was mortified to see the condition that this precious little girl Poodle was in. She decided to not return her to the neighbor and it was in full agreement that she would take over care of this pitiful little girl. Critter Cavalry quickly took her to their vet and she will also be receiving a dental in the next 5 days. You see h mmer throat was swollen from drainage due to bad teeth, but other than that, she passed all health tests such as heartworm and parasites and worms. She will one day be restored to a beautiful soul inside and out. Today she looks fragile and we know her spirit has been beaten down and challenged. But she will survive because we will find someone to love her unconditionally and treat her like the Princess she's always meant to be. If you would like to adopt this precious girl please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 19, 2024, 2:03 pm
