Story
Hi, my name is Georgie.  I’m a fabulous little miniature poodle who is 7 years old, and I weigh 17 lbs.  I’m an awesome little guy who is used to being the center of attention.  I lived with my mom and dad, and then they got divorced so it was just mom and me.  She doted on me; I was too strong when she walked me so she got me a stroller – or carriage, as I prefer to call it.  She took such good care of me, but I got to be too much for her so she let Critter Cavalry Rescue find a foster home for me while I wait for my new forever home. I love my foster mom, but I have to share the attention with 4 other dogs and I do NOT like that at all (and they’re not too happy at me being here).  I’d love to find a couple in their 50’s or 60’s with no other dogs who would make me the center of their universe. I’m ok with older children occasionally, but would prefer a house with just adults.  I’m not being picky (well yes I am); I don’t ever want to go through the loss of my human again.  I know lots of tricks and would love to show you how smart I am.  I can shake hands, high five, lie down, roll over, and stand up and dance.  I am house trained, but will use a pad if I get desperate.  I prefer that you go outside with me and stay with me, or else I will just come inside with you; I need a fenced in back yard so I can do the zoomies outside.  I LOVE to go for walks, and walk well on a leash.  I was a picky eater when I first arrived, but after 3 days I was eating well.  I need to go to the groomer frequently, and need a new family that can afford to take care of me.  After all, I think I am a prince.  I like to be on the couch and sleep in the bed with you.  I demand petting, and will let you know when I’m unhappy.  I hope you have cried and then laughed at what I had to say, and you are now ready to apply to be my true forever family.  I’m neutered and am current on all my shots, heartworm negative and microchipped.  To be considered to be my forever family and to request an adoption application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (I am currently in Tennessee but can be transported to my forever family upon adoption.)              March 20, 2025, 5:39 pm

Story
This handsome Miniature Poodle boy is called Wrigley and he is a young 3 year old, 14 pound sweetheart looking for a home.  His life started off with a breeder and he was purchased as a Christmas gift for young children who soon grew tired of the novelty puppy.  They were supposed to take care of him and the parents were not willing to pick up the slack for his care.  The solution was to put this poor 14 pound boy outside on a tie out in the cold elements of Winter.  A neighbor grew so concerned about him and asked if they would give him up to a rescue.  They fortunately agreed and soon this handsome Poodle was in the right hands that could change his life.  He needed to be neutered and it has been done with all other vetting.  Wrigley is a happy boy despite the lack of love and past care.  He seems to have been unfazed that he spent time alone outside and not receiving the real love and snuggles that he so freely gives now to his foster mom. He is back to working on being housebroken due to the tie-out time he spent outside but is crate trained and we have groomed him just before neutering him.  He has a whole new life ahead of him and we have polished him up to look as dapper as he could before leaving for a new forever home. If you have been looking for a young Poodle to rescue and love then this is a rare opportunity to get a fully vetted boy with no hidden issues or fears.  He is fine with other dogs, cats and gets along great with everyone he meets. Wrigley was wonderful to the children in the first home even though they did not appreciate him. This treasure is just waiting for a miracle family to love him.  Could that be you?  He is in Tennessee and we transport northward almost every weekend.  Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested.   PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.March 14, 2025, 8:28 pm

Story
Our pretty little Geisha Girl is a delicate but strong survivor of a backyard breeder who was discovered to be neglecting her small group of breeding girl dogs.  This little 8 pound delicate princess is almost 5 years old according to the breeder.   She was so matted and had to be quickly shaved down by the Human Society who went to the home to confiscate and free these poor Poodle girls (6) who had been bred over and over.   Surprisingly, Geisha Girl, has been so resilient and quickly learned how nice it was to be outside in her fenced yard and touching and feeling grass.  She is so good with the foster mom’s other small breed dogs and you never hear her bark hardly ever.  She is quiet, almost housebroken and getting the hang of being treated like a special house dog.  A far cry from the small crate she had lived in.  She is not emotionally stunted and we are so glad for that.  She is loving and appreciative of any and all that you do for her.  She is special and will make your life oh so special too.   Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Tell us where you live when you inquire.  She is in Tennessee but we also transport northward as well.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 29, 2025, 10:01 pm

Story
Meet Marshmallow, the sweetest softie of a  Miniature Poodle on the planet.  Said to be about 12 years or older,  whorver guessed his age never lived with this spunky, active little guy.  No way does this little guy slow down or hobble?Along like an old man.  In fact, he jumps he begs to get in your lab. He climbs stairs. He just does everything up dog ten years and under would do. He runs and hops around the house like he's half his age. He keeps up with the young dog in the home, chasing and playing, running from room to room and not the senior boy he truly is. When not playing, he happily follows his foster mom around the house and is ready to jump on her lap if she sits down. Marshmallow is a happy boy that loves to snuggle and give kisses. Believe it or not, this boy is the outdoorsy type and loves to lay in the sun and explore the enclosed patio.  He is always up for a good walk on the leash is a champ. When being walked.  Just know he is the curious type and is an observant boy.  If he finds something that interests him he will stop and sit to watch what's going on. If you're missing him in the house, he can likely be found on the back of the couch looking out the front window-not barking, just being nosey. When he's tired, he will put himself to bed in his crate, usually burrowing under the blankets. His favorite place to nap/sleep is with his foster mom. Marshmallow is nithing but a joy to have in your life.  All he wants us love, snuggles, and comfy blankets. If you were interested in this sweet little man Miniature Poodle, write to critter cavalry rescue at Ccrtennessee@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 30, 2025, 10:06 pm

Story
This little sweet princess is called Charity And that is just what she needs from the world, some kindness and patience and charity of the heart &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143. This little girl was once a backyard. Breeder dog kept in a garage in a crate with others and not cleaned or groomed for months on end.  Soon the authorities came and took the neglected poodult's away and fined the breeder.  Charity has been with critter cavalry since march sixteenth and she has come so very far.   She is a five year old, nine pound, precious gray and tan Miniature Poodle.   She is navigating the emotional prison that she came from at the breeders home.  She was not out in the world, experiencing grass or blue skies or fresh spring breezes.  She was in a garage that smelled terrible from lack of being cleaned.    Now this girl has a backyard with spring, flowers and grass to run in and is slowly becoming acclimated to noises in the world that most dogs find normal.  She is still not really good on a leash, so we're looking for a home with a fenced yard made to contain a ten pound dog and someone that will slowly but surely teach her that being out in the world is fun and invigorating and a wonderful experience. She is also working on housebreaking schedule. But we are also using pea pads at the moment     She is fully vetted and very healthy and has obviously been shaved down and in a matter of just several months will be the prettiest little poodle, curly haired girl, that right now is one of the best snugglers ever.  She just crazed love and support and patience.   A lap to sit on a bed to sleep in. Perhaps company of another confident dog to show her that the world is not scary or harmful.  We would prefer her to be around older children that know how to keep the noise down and a calm environment.    She really is going to be the perfect little girl at the age of 5 she has so much more life to live as a normal, well-loved princess.    If you would like to rescue this little poodle girl, please write to critter cavalry rescue atccrnewengland@gmail.com &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143  she is currently in nashville, tennessee, and we transport to the northeastern states every weekend   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 30, 2025, 10:06 pm

Story
Meet Vida the Diva! She is a snazzy miniature poodle who was found abandoned on the side of the road, locked in a crate with two other dogs. Her zest for life gives no hint of her struggles or the fear she must have faced. From the moment she arrived at her foster family's home, Vida knew she belonged. She immediately claimed their hearts ~ and the comfiest spots in the house! But her journey was just beginning. We knew Vida needed extensive medical care, and after a thorough vet exam we learned she would require two major surgeries. On February 10th, she bravely underwent her first ~ a spay and a mastectomy on her right side. The best news? The masses were confirmed cancer-free! Through it all, Vida has remained the loving, spunky girl we fell in love with ~ greeting everyone with excitement, stealing the softest spots in the house, and slowly regaining her playful spirit. Now, with her stitches removed and her confidence returning, Vida is back to running in the yard, barking at everyone (because, of course, divas must be heard), and rocking her fabulous wardrobe. Her second surgery, including a mastectomy on the left side and a much-needed dental, is scheduled for mid to late March. For now, she’s living her best life… soaking up snuggles, enjoying car rides, and generally overseeing her kingdom from her rightful place as queen of the house. Whoever is lucky enough to welcome this little star into their home will be getting a dog full of love, resilience, and a whole lot of diva energy! Story
Meet Julie! She is a sweet, beautiful girl who has had a rough go of it and is looking for her soft landing spot. Julie was purchased in New York City, a tiny, delicate poodle bought as a breeding dog to make her owners money. But when she managed to escape and landed in a shelter, her owners had a choice: get her the medical care required by the shelter to bring her home or leave her behind. They chose to leave her behind. Julie has settled into the routine here at Miri's HQ, enjoying time outside, loving her meals, and making herself at home in her chosen comfy crate space. She’s not a fan of dogs in her face but she coexists just fine with them - and even allowed one special friend into her crate for a snuggle. She’s using pee pads and has even been spotted coming in and out of the dog door on her own! Julie has some neurological challenges: when she’s relaxed, she’s pretty steady, but when she moves, she spins in tight little right circles to get around. She’s looking for a forever family with a yard (she’s not a leash walker) and someone patient enough to help her navigate the world in her own way. Could you be that person for Julie? These marks are completely hidden when her fur is grown out and do not affect her health or happiness.
