Salinda is a sweet and timid 19-pound Cocker Spaniel and Bichon mix who is still finding her way in this big new world. She can often be found quietly observing from the corner, unsure about approaching humans just yet. Her gentle eyes tell a story of a girl who wants to trust but needs time to build her confidence.Salinda adores other dogs and finds comfort in their company. She often snuggles with her dog friends, and having a confident dog in her new home could help her continue to come out of her shell.Though she`s still too shy to take treats or seek out pets, Salinda is learning a little more each day that humans can be kind and gentle. She’s a tender soul who will need a patient, loving family willing to give her the time and space she needs to feel safe and secure.Could your calm, patient home be the one to help Salinda blossom? ??--------Before being rescued, many of our dogs have had limited socialization, so they may need a bit of time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog`s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly.
