Story
Meet Mandy – A Sweet, Calm Companion Looking for LoveMandy is a 7-year-old Cocker Spaniel mix who weighs 18 pounds and is as gentle as they come. She has a calm and peaceful presence that brings warmth to everyone around her. With her soft eyes and gentle demeanor, Mandy has quickly become a favorite among staff and volunteers. This sweet girl absolutely adores people. She’s quick to come up for pets and will happily spend time being loved on. Mandy thrives in a calm environment where she can relax, be doted on, and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. She gets along beautifully with other dogs and enjoys quiet companionship with her canine friends. One of her favorite things is to explore the yard. She’ll trot around at her own pace, tail wagging as she sniffs and takes in the sights. She’s not a high-energy dog—Mandy would much rather spend her days lounging in a cozy spot, going on gentle walks, or following you around for attention.Mandy is the kind of dog who would do well in a peaceful home where she can feel safe, secure, and loved. She’s not demanding, but her sweet eyes will tug at your heart and make you want to give her all the cuddles in the world. If you’re looking for a laid-back, affectionate, and loyal companion, Mandy might be the perfect match for you. Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog’s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with time and a gentle approach, most of these dogs adapt quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is incredibly rewarding. To learn more about our dogs and start the adoption process, please visit our website.
