Story
This sweet soul is Marigold. At 4 years old and approximately 30 lbs she longs for a home to plant roots in. Marigold had a rought start to her short life. She was used for breeding and kept in terrible conditions. Although her first chapter was rocky she is ready to for an upward arch in the rest of her story. She has a quiet disposition, hesitant but curious. Her foster home contains 4 other dogs; older, younger, larger and smaller. With other dogs is when she displays more confidence and curiosity. Marigold has made great strides in her foster home already pottying in a designated spot and building confidence to explore outside of her crate. Home life and trusting humans is brand new to Marigold. Her ideal family is one who can give her space to acclimate and let her move at her own pace. She would thrive with a confident dog sibling to show her the way. What happened in the past does not define you. It forges a new path that will take you to a different version of yourself. Could you be the humans who will walk with Marigold on her new path? Marigold is currently being fostered in Staten Island, NY. Her adoption fee is $600. Marigold is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Florian is a 4.5-year-old, 35-lb Cocker Spaniel mix who is the ultimate people-pleaser and cuddle expert. His superpower is making you feel like the most important person in the world, whether he's laying peacefully at your feet, snuggled up in your arms, or following you from room to room. This playful pup LOVES his toys and is quite the puzzle master. Florian is a social butterfly who walks well on leash but can be a bit stubborn sometimes—only because he wants to make friends with every dog he meets! At night, Florian sleeps contentedly in his crate as long as you're nearby, and he thrives on a regular walking schedule (he's still working on holding it for longer periods of time!). Florian doesn't prefer alone time, so he's looking for someone who can include him in their daily adventures. He would make a wonderful companion for a family with older children, and he can be either your one-and-only or join a home with other medium to large dogs who can match his strength. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who will greet you with enthusiasm and provide endless affection, Florian can't wait to meet you! He is currently being fostered in West New York, NJ. His adoption rate is $600. Story
Clover (Buddy) is a gorgeous 2 1/2 year old Cocker Spaniel/Shi tzu mix who needs a new forever home! He also responds to the name “Buddy”.Clover just loves a nice long walk with a person he loves. He is a curious boy and enjoys sightseeing during his walks.Clover attaches quickly to one person and is fearful of those he doesn’t know. He has shown some protectiveness over his previous owner. We recommend he be the only pet in the home.Clover lights up when it’s time to play! He has a blast playing with his toys and can be protective of them as well. A potential adopter would need to visit several times in order to win his trust and get to know him. This pup has so much potential if given the time and patience that he needs. An adopter would need to commit to working with a trainer as needed to help him build his confidence and learn to trust others. Due to his special needs, we are only seeking a local adopter who lives in a single family home.Clover is neutered, microchipped, heart worm free, approximately 30 pounds, and up to date on all vaccines. If you’d like to meet this handsome boy, please email adopt@bobbicares.org to arrange a visit appointment. All of our adoptions are local only.

Story
Meet Bandit!  Bandit is a very handsome 8 year old male who came to us last year sadly after his elderly owner passed away.   Bandit is currently in boarding hoping that he will again find someone to love him. Bandit will benefit from structure and routine in a patient home while he can learn to trust again.  An active adult only home where he can get the exercise and stimulation he needs is required. Due to his love of chasing squirrels, a cat free home is needed, and it would be best if he were the only child.   Bandit has been waiting patiently for his new home.  If you would like to give this beautiful boy his second chance, please contact us!   Bandit is current on all shots, neutered and has tested negative for heartworm. He will be professionally groomed before adoption and will go home with a new leash and collar. To apply: 1. You must reside within our adoptable states: NY, NJ, CT, RI, MA, VT, NH, PA, DE, MD, VA 2. AND you MUST submit our online application, please  CLICK HERE  or copy & paste this link:  http://www.nyabandonedangels.com/adopt-or-foster-application October 25, 2024, 10:57 am
