Collie fun facts

Fun Facts:

The original dog cast to play Lassie refused to swim on film. Pal, the stunt dog, easily jumped in and swam as the Technicolor cameras shot test footage. The footage looked so good, the director reshot it in Technicolor, casting Pal as the beloved Lassie.

Frank Inn, one of the men who trained Lassie, also trained Benji!

Like so many breeds, Queen Victoria popularized the Collie after she visited Scotland in the 1860s and took a liking to the breed.
