Iandamp;#39;m Willy&#44 and Iandamp;#39;m a dashingly handsome&#44 sweet and wiggly Coonhound who is in the prime of his life right now. My owner had to surrender me to the shelter because of a move to a very small space. A space that wasnandamp;#39;t going to be good enough for sweet and wonderful me. So here I am&#44 looking for someone who wants a best friend and has room enough for me.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;My goal is to get my second chance at a wonderfully blessed life. Iandamp;#39;m great with kids&#44 excited and happy to meet new people&#44 Iandamp;#39;m housebroken&#44 and I was never crate trained because I never needed a crate. That means Iandamp;#39;ve got great house manners. I love walks and am very good on leash. Playtime is the best time&#44 and toys are an absolute favorite of mine. I will chase andamp;#39;em&#44 fetch andamp;#39;em&#44 and prance with andamp;#39;em! I canandamp;#39;t help it that Iandamp;#39;m adorable&#44 plus Iandamp;#39;ve already mastered the commands andamp;quot;sitandamp;quot;&#44 andamp;quot;shakeandamp;quot;&#44 and andamp;quot;downandamp;quot;. andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;The animal shelter is a stressful place&#44 especially for a dog like me who KNOWS that I belong in a home. The staff are trying really hard to find me a home&#44 or a foster so I can relax. I went for an overnight stay recently&#44 and I just slept and slept - I even snored!andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Iandamp;#39;ve been dreaming about why my new home would look like. First&#44 Iandamp;#39;d like a home that is cat free. I am good with other dogs&#44 and the shelter thinks I might like to live with another dog&#44 so if you currently have a friend at home that needs a pal&#44 why not come meet me? I sure love my humans&#44 and I would really thrive in a home where someone is around much of the time. andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Do you think I could be your best friend? Adoption fee $200 Athena proves how different dogs can act pending environmental or health changes. Athena loves to use her nose, she LOVES her people / family. She's made it clear shes not a "city" dog. She does far better in less traffic / less chaotic situations. She can also climb a tree or two. Athena has done great with me, my dad and my two sons. She has been fine with all of our barn cats. After an adjustment, she's done fine with dogs through neighboring fence lines as well. She has played well with two other dogs at separate times. Athena loves her treat puzzles and snuffle bowls. She loves having a routine and boundaries. She gets SO excited to see me and does the boot scoot zoomie across the yard.   Athena loves me so much that if I leave the yard with her in it, she climbs out. I would love to find her an understanding home without big dog park, visitor, leash walk expectations. She's completely content in her home and her backyard. Athena is ready for a foster or adopter!
