You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Abby was originally surrendered to us on 11/27/2023 after her owner passed away unexpectedly. She is a redtick coonhound who is now around 7 years old. She's a large and happy lady who loves people and has lived her life as a house dog. She has also had some basic training and knows some commands. She has been fully vetted and her fee is $150. Abby is a larger dog and is pretty strong. She can be playful, likes a good walk, but is also content to chill out on the couch. She enjoys going for car rides. As a hound, she can be kind of vocal, but doesn't overuse her singing voice. Abby has had exposure to other animals and people of all ages. However at this stage in her life she's looking for a somewhat quiet and calm home without a lot of foot traffic. She would prefer an adult only home. She really just needs a couple of special people, or even just one person, to make her feel at home. Hounds are really awesome dogs and make great companions. NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications can be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. Story
Uno is a 5 year old Coonhound/Shepard mix that we have had since he was a puppy. Unfortunately, our older dog has never liked him and is no longer able to tolerate his typical doggy behavior and as a result, both dogs are suffering. Our older dog is lashing out at Uno more frequently and I’m worried for their safety. He is such a sweet boy that loves people so we are hoping to find him a new home where he could thrive. He is neutered, up to date on all his vaccinations, and on Heartgard & Nexgard. He enjoys playing with other dogs at the dog park but unknown how he will do sharing a living space with another dog since it has not been great with our other dog currently.

Lilly is currently housed at Rochester Animal Control.Meet Lilly! She's a unique looking gal who is looking for a second chance! Unfortunately, Lilly's previous family fell on hard times and lost their housing. Lilly seems to be a bit more on the calm side, enjoying nice walks an quality time with her people. Her previous family said she was good about potty training, and she seems to just be an all around good girl! She does appear to have some hound in her, and she also ahs the voice when she wants to use it! She can't wait to find her forever family. Are you interested in adopting a houndy type dog for your family? Look no further! Lilly would love to meet you! Applications for adoption can be found on the homepage of the website. Once you have submitted your application a PCHS staff will contact you regarding an appointment to meet the animals you are interested in.**Adoption fee: $50 + $30 microchip fee + tax
