Story
Prada is a sweet, playful, and very curious girl. She was found as a stray roaming around a busy street in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, and, luckily, a concerned tourist brought her into the shelter. We are grateful she hasn’t experienced street life for long. She is now an 11-month-old pup ready to be scooped up by her own people! Prada loves attention, playing with other dogs, and going for walks. Her walking-on-a-leash skills need to improve, but she is a fast learner so she just needs to practice. She loves to go out for her walks and play with her mates at the shelter. She can be little shy initially, but she quickly warms up and is very friendly. She is food motivated, so it’s easy to get her attention where she responds with a wagging tail. Prada gets along with other dogs and she was cat-tested in the shelter where she showed no interest and was even scared of them. Whether you’re a family of one or ten, Prada would make an excellent addition to your life. She can be a single dog but also easily join your dog pack as she is very friendly and playful. Prada is up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, dewormed and microchipped. Interested in this sweet loving girl? Please complete the adoption application at www.sosanimalwelfare.org, and we will happily get back to you. Prada is ready and cannot wait to meet you!

Story
Meet a true Princess—elegant Dana! She’s an 18-month-old, 35-lb bundle of love that you just want to hug! Her sweet, gentle, and graceful nature is hard to resist. She is great with children, naturally kind and sweet with them. She also gets along with other dogs and cats as well. She is a super playful little girl who loves to roll over for belly rubs!! Dana is in rescue because, sadly, she was abandoned by her owners, who moved and left her behind. Fortunately, our rescue was able to take her in and assure her that she will never be abandoned again! Dana is up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, 4dx tested: negative for heart worm, currently on flea/tick/heart worm prevention, and dewormed. If you feel you would be the right fit for Dana, please fill out an adoption application at www.sosanimalwelfare.org, or email us for more info: sosanimalwelfare@gmail.com We will happily get back to you!

Story
Puppy Jack is a handsome 4 1/2 month old Coonhound mix puppy looking for a family to help him blossom. Surrendered by his owner, this boy is very nervous upon meeting new people right now. He is a jumper and/or climber and will need a fully enclosed 6-foot fenced yard (not a chainlink fence, though). He will need a patient owner who has lots of time to spend with him while he learns the essentials. He’ll flourish with plenty of playtime, exercise, mental stimulation, socialization and love while he learns.Jack is up to date on vaccinations, heart worm negative, microchipped and will be neutered upon adoption . He is currently at our Freeport location. If you would like to meet him, please fill out the adoption application on our website using a laptop or desktop (no phone or tablet, please) at https://bobbiandthestrays.org/adoption-page-new/. Kindly keep in mind that our adoptions are local only (NYC area and Long Island).
