Story
Pippin is 13 months old and was brought to NYC from Kentucky when he was about 4 month old. We fostered him first then adopted. Pip is a shy dog who loves his family and other dogs. Gets along with cats. However he seems to be unable to get used to city life. Trucks, buses and loud traffic get him very scared. He will not walk confidently or walk at all. Pip needs a home in the country. He is very smart, crate trained and calm at home. Knows sit. Stay. Hide and seek and stays on his mat when Asked. He is happy outside the city and we decided to rehome him for happier dog life. A backyard and other dog would be ideal. Loves to play and run. Not good with kids.

Story
Puppy Jack is a handsome 4 1/2 month old Coonhound mix puppy looking for a family to help him blossom. Surrendered by his owner, this boy is very nervous upon meeting new people right now. He is a jumper and/or climber and will need a fully enclosed 6-foot fenced yard (not a chainlink fence, though). He will need a patient owner who has lots of time to spend with him while he learns the essentials. He’ll flourish with plenty of playtime, exercise, mental stimulation, socialization and love while he learns.Jack is up to date on vaccinations, heart worm negative, microchipped and will be neutered upon adoption . He is currently at our Freeport location. If you would like to meet him, please fill out the adoption application on our website using a laptop or desktop (no phone or tablet, please) at https://bobbiandthestrays.org/adoption-page-new/. Kindly keep in mind that our adoptions are local only (NYC area and Long Island).
