Available for Adoption Hi there, I'm Zuki! I'm a goofy 5-month-old, female, Shepherd/Hound mix with a big heart and an even bigger brain! I love to play and learn new tricks. I already know how to sit and will eagerly go into my kennel awaiting my dinner or treat. I love, love, love to eat and I've grown used to getting a slow feeder bowl with every meal. I do need to be cautious with my diet, though, as chicken tends to upset my tummy. I have done well with beef, lamb, duck, and salmon, not to mention all the other yummy snacks my foster mom has slipped me! I'm the kind of pup who will bring you your slippers, then promptly run away to start a hastily game of chase. I can be sensitive, too, and tell when you're feeling down. I'll nuzzle my way into your lap to cheer you up! If you're looking for a loyal friend who's always up for fun, then I'm your girl. I promise to fill your home with laughter, love, and a few hidden slippers.Zuki has been spayed, microchipped and kept current on vaccines. She is doing great with crate training but needs someone patient to guide her with house training. Annie is almost 1.5 years old and we’re told she’s a pure bred Coonhound. Silky smooth and super healthy. You’ll be petting her and before you know it she’ll have weaseled into your lap with her sweet paws wrapped around your neck for a hug! Get a good belly laugh as you watch her conquer water shooting from a sprinkler or air from a leaf blower - she’s entertaining, for sure! She loves her crate (command: “bed”) and is house trained. This good girl doesn’t even mind going out in the rain to go potty. Annie has had training and is good with basic commands. Better doggie parents would have her mastering all sorts of tricks! She loves playing with people and dogs. If she’s barking, she’s ready to play! She’ll hold her own when playing rough, and sometimes pretends to be tough, but is neither too submissive nor too aggressive. Annie needs a home with a high fence since she’s a jumper! This girl would be great with agility lessons! Annie is a true gem!

Annie Lou seems like an extremely sweet dog. She is a stray we picked up. She does well with both our dogs and kids. Doesn’t seem to be house trained but has a very kind personality. Definitely would be a great dog in the right home!

Tucker was a rescue from Sarges in Waynesville 3 years ago, very skinny and very sad as he was a drop off in the middle of the night in the winter. He weighed only 52 lbs and was considered a 5-6 year old adult coonhound. He now weighs around 90 lbs, sweet demeanor, and silly. He needs a home without children. He is what we think to be a "failed hunting dog-turned couch potato". He does have some fears and ends up snipping at what he fears the most, being children or people in his space.(Near his face) He loves food and loves the scratches. He will steal your bed and heart. Those big ears are so floppy and soft, we mess with them everyday. We need him in a home that doesn't have small kiddos nearby. He's getting up there in age, so he needs a comfy spot with all adults that love him like we do! We cannot keep him due to his issues with kids, and we are wanting to make sure he goes to a safe place!
