Story

Duke is an English-American Red Tick Coonhound and is 5-6 years old. I adopted him in December of ‘23 from the Palmetto Animal League and he was found abandoned in the woods, hence the unknown age. He is the most gentle, sweet and relaxed dog I have ever met and loves other dogs and kids. He is very unique as he does not like treats (tried everything), rarely barks and is a true hound as he likes to do his own thing and sniff everything. I bring him to the dog park everyday and he’s very social. His name should really be Chill as he never gets overly excited and loves to sleep and relax. He requires someone who can dedicate a good amount of time to train and love him. He is somewhat obedient on a leash, but if he smells something intriguing, he requires a bit of redirecting. I would love to keep him, but my job doesn’t afford me the time and attention he deserves. His perfect home is a place where he can run, be outside, sniff to his heart’s content and most importantly be loved.

This sweet girl was dropped off at my grandparents house. We took her in about a month ago. She’s approximately 6 months old according to the vet. She is very sweet and listens well. She is house trained but not pad trained. Very smart and good with small children and other dogs. (I have a 5 and 7 year old and she has never been aggressive in any way and she loves the other neighborhood dogs.) She needs to be able to run in a fenced back yard or be able to go on multiple walks a day. Unfortunately my work schedule doesn’t allow for the adequate attention this baby deserves. She loves stuffed animals and playing fetch.
