Louie and Lola are a brother/sister pair who have lived together their whole lives. They need to stay together in their next home. We rescued these two when they were 4 years old and were adopted together. Unfortunately, their mom tragically passed away this year and they came back to us. Louie and Lola are now about 7 years old. They are very sweet, easy dogs! Louie is more outgoing and friendly with everyone while Lola is a little more reserved and shy. She follows Louie and likes having him near. It may take Lola some time to warm up to you, but, once she does, she will be your biggest fan! Louie and Lola just want a place to relax and hang out with their human. Louie and Lola are not super hyper but they can be playful and goofy at times. They are smart, they love to cuddle, they will follow you around the house, they enjoy walks, car rides and chewing on toys. They both get along with other dogs and cats but they mostly ignore our. They wouldn't like young, hyper animals in their face and would also prefer a home without young children. Louie is 25lbs and Lola is 15lbs. They are housebroken, spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. You can do a trial with them before officially adopting to make sure it's a good fit! Loki, about 2 years old, Chihuahua/Corgi mix, male, about 15 lbs., neutered, microchipped, vaccinate d and house broken. Loki was surrendered by the family who had him since he was 3 months old. A family member developed an allergy and could no longer keep the puppy. He was surrendered to No Stray Left Behind rescue on Sunday, 6/30 and I’ve been fostering him since. As you can imagine, it was very traumatic for Loki to be left behind and he was not eating for a couple of days. He seems to have imprinted on me and is just now getting more comfortable losing sight of me. He’s been left alone in the house with our dog, Penny, twice and there have been no incidents. As soon as he learned the “ going outside routine ” and where the pee pads are, we’ve had no accidents. Loki is a cuddle bug. He’s so incredibly sweet. He sits on my lap as I work and he doesn’t disturb me at all. He also loves to play fetch and chew on his toys (doesn’t chew anything else in the house). He’s also a great walker. However, we think he was not used to walk ing on pavement, so his paws are sensitive. Penny likes to be the only dog in the house, but they have come to an understanding and tolerate each other. They don’t play together , but are slowly becoming friends . Penny doesn’t like to cuddle, so Loki is not taking her space. This formally dressed chap is Dexter, a 7 years old Corgi/Cattledog mix who weighs about 45 pounds. Dexter knows all of his basics: Sit, stay, wait for food and wait before entering a room, and lay down. He is house and crate trained, and sleeps in his crate every night. Dexter is a nice guy with adults and older kids. He isn’t a fan of small kids, which is why he is looking for a new home. He would appreciate a home with older kids or just adults. Dexter loves a good game of fetch and can catch a ball in midair. He is a good traveler, as he is good in the car and good on leash. He does pull in the leash some, though. He loves car rides, camping, and swimming. Dexter’s ideal home is with an active person or couple who also thinks that he is all they need. He is best as an only dog in a home. For that person, he loves to cuddle. Belly rubs are a favorite, too. He is a great little guy who just needs the right home. Dexter is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He is located in Santa Clarita and is ready to meet adopters who can meet and adopt here. A home visit and vet reference are required.

Charlie and Gidget are still looking for their forever home together after being with us over a year! Sadly their owner passed away and there is no family that can care for them. Charlie is 12 years old, neutered and weighs 11 lbs. He is believed to be a Pembroke/Chihuahua mix. He is the sweetest little cuddle bug. He is a happy, sensitive, lap loving boy. All he wants is your love, affection, to hang out with Gidget and eat doggie treats. He enjoys playing with his soft toys and keeping them gathered in a tidy pile. Gidget is a 9 ½ year old terrier mix, spayed and weighs in at a tiny 7.5 lbs. Gidget is missing her right front leg due to an accident when she was only a few weeks old. She gets around very well and can climb stairs and slopes just fine, but needs assistance going down some staircases and on steep downhill slopes as it is hard on her back. She will also need assistance to climb up into your lap or sit beside you, which are her happiest spots. She is curious, peppy, lovable and charming. One more thing, when Gidget looks in the mirror she sees a Great Dane! Charlie and Gidget are cuddle buddies and are inseparable. They are both lap dogs and don’t mind sharing a single lap. They eat together, play together, sleep together and they must stay together as a bonded pair. They are both housetrained and will let you know when they need to go out. They are also trained to go on pee pads. They get along well with other small gentle dogs but neither of them has ever met a cat. They both enjoy short walks. Charlie keeps a watchful eye on Gidget and will not go back inside the house without her. They love their doggie beds and fuzzy blankets and lie in them wherever you place them as long as they are together. They will alert you of potential danger with a couple barks but will quiet instantly with a gentle hush. These pups merrily greet you when you come home and will be the perfect companions to someone who needs them as much as they need you.
