Story
THIS IS A COURTESY POST - PLEASE CONTACT MARSHA SHEFFIELD AT: 404-509-2875 for more information. I'm a 14yo Corgi mix but I act much younger than my age. I'm short, stout and less than 20lbs. I get along exceptionally well with other dogs, but probably wouldn't be good around cats, I like to chase them! I'm the happiest guy with a big personality, I love walks and playing in the yard. I'm, also, crate-trained but I haven't had any accidents in the house when I've been left out. I'm always excited to see my people, and especially enjoy playing with children. My owner passed away, and the family was crating me up to 22 hours a day. I would love to find a loving home where I can live out my remaining years being cared for and running around freely.

She is in socialization training, but we recommend adopting her as an only dog if possible. -Cats: When she met the cat, she showed no interest and ignored it. But we can't say for sure if she will attack a cat. -Kids: yes • Housebroken? yes • Barks/Quiet: quiet, she can bark for a minute when the doorbell rings • Walking manners: Good • Energy level: Six (On a scale of 1 to 10) • Appetite: she is not picky and has no food aggression • How do they do with cars & baths: good with cars & baths • Favorite things: Play patch ball • Commands/Tricks: she can understand ‘wait’ ‘sit’ and ‘hand’ In Korean

Story
❗Current Location: in a foster home in South Korea❗ Meet Mango :) She was rescued from a high-kill city shelter and was about to be euthanized. However, due to her refusal to be touched by strangers, she underwent a lengthy training program with her foster family and is now doing very well. If you give her enough time and unconditional love, he will become your best friend. • Affinity with -Cats: She is currently doing well with the cats in her temporary home. She is not aggressive towards cats and ignores them. -Dogs: She is currently getting along well with the dogs in her foster home. They usually play well together, but there are times when she is shy. -Adults/Kids: She is shy with people, and is good with people she knows well (she gets treats), but is very cautious with touch. Sudden touch from strangers (adults & kids) can cause her to act defensive (she hasn't bitten yet but acts like she will, or she pees when picked up and held suddenly, or she jumps away), but she will sniff and recognize when approached cautiously. • Shedding: Usually, her coat will increase when winter comes. The fur gets stuck to the fabric rather than shedding. • Walking Manner: She loves to go for walks, in both familiar and new places. Sometimes hesitates to go for a walk in crowded places (but does well in moderate crowds). • Housetrained: She's housebroken and doesn't cause too many problems, but she still chews on wood and plastic items. She goes potty on her pee pad, but much prefers to do her business outdoors. When outdoors, he relieves himself on dirt or grass. • Bathing/Brushing: She takes baths well (though not her favorite). She also likes to be brushed. • Separation Anxiety: She has always lived with other dogs but has no problem when her foster family goes out of town. • Bark or Howl: She barks when she hears strangers outside. She barks when strangers come to visit, but there's no aggression - she doesn't howl. • Carsickness: She gets nervous when riding in the car, so she can get car sick when traveling for long periods. She tolerates it well for about 30 minutes. • Her favorite things are a set routine, family, walks, playing in the park, and her favorite treats (tridles, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, cheese, chicken, beef, duck, etc.) • Personality: She is a little timid, cautious, gentle, and good-natured. She loves going for walks with her family, spending time at her favorite park, and just being at home with her family. She also loves walks, parks, and hikes, and at home, she's happy to be in her own space (fluffy or crate) or sit quietly by her family's side.

Story
Hi Everyone, I am Corinne’s foster mom and I wanted to take just a minute to let you in on the best secret going here at AAU. Corinne is absolutely PERFECT in every way! She has been trained so well and is just a super sweet dog! She was recently returned to AAU after 7 years of being in the same home. Unfortunately, her owners had to return her. This return was in no way any fault of Corinne’s.   Let me tell you about her: she is somewhere between 8-10 years old, but acts much younger than that. She is around 38 pounds so a perfect size. She adores going for walks and is good on a leash. She is perfectly house trained and crate trained. She is even trained not to walk on area rugs or jump on furniture unless given permission!  She waits for you to say yes before going through a door to come in!   Now, let’s be real, Corinne is not a tall, beautiful girl with flowing hair or a cute, little fluffy dog. She is kind of long and short and has the most gorgeous dark brown coat with little pops of white on her chest and toes. So, she may not win a beauty contest, but her behavior more than makes up for it! She will even lay down and roll over when you say belly up as she LOVES belly rubs!     Trust me, if I didn’t have three dogs already, there is no way Corinne would be leaving my house!  So, get your applications in so you can meet this precious, sweet, loving, well behaved dog!     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. We verify rental policies and adhere to any regulations. Please ensure you understand those restrictions before choosing a dog.              August 20, 2024, 10:03 am
