ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)     3m old Sweet Coach from Puerto Rico.    All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.     Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Please fill out an application and email to: For Cats: cats@zanisfurryfriends.org For Dogs: dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org For Rabbits: nyc.acc.rabbits@gmail.com. Please visit our website zanisfurryfriends.org.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application   HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see   HERE Age: Young Weight: Small This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Meet Prince Aladdin, a young, playful, and friendly dog. He's full of energy and has a zest for life that is contagious. His favorite activities include playing and exploring his surroundings. He's also crate trained, which means he's already accustomed to a structured routine. He's curious about cats, so he might be a great fit for a home that already has feline friends. Prince Aladdin is a smart boy and basic group training classes is recommended to help him learn commands, socialize with other humans and dogs, as well as build that fur-ever bond with you! He's not just a pet, he's a companion who will bring joy, laughter, and unconditional love to his new home. Adopting Prince Aladdin means gaining a loyal friend who will be by your side through thick and thin. An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see   HERE   for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website:   Adoption Application - SOS Animal Rescue League in Rhode Island (sosarl.org)   **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 8, 2025, 10:51 am

Story
Welcome Gracie to CCPAL Foster Program. Gracie is 1.5 years of age and she is a Dachshund dog. She is what we call a high mixed dog. She weighs 11 pounds. She is the momma dog for the pups we are now finding homes for. She is good on a leash, good in a car and potty trained. She is very sweet and as most Dachshunds, she is loyal and a good lap dog. She is getting her vaccines here at the Rescue and will be spayed and ready for her forever home. She would be fine in a home with children. We always like the children to be 10 or older with small dogs. She would need a fenced yard if let outside off leash. She would be fine with a smaller yard. She won’t need mounds of exercise to be happy. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful adopters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. We don’t adopt to Rhode Island or to adopters from Massachusetts due to the regulations in these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 if you have any questions. Please go to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com with questions. You can get an application online at www.ccpalrescue.org

LUCKY IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE HE IS ADOPTED!    Lucky is his name, and he has EARNED it. This parvo survivor is a 5-6 month old mixed breed puppy. His mom was a dachshund, and his dad is a complete guess. He is only 20 lbs, and we don't expect him to get much bigger. He loves other dogs and children, but Lucky is afraid of cats. He is working on house breaking with a few accidents here and there, but he is currently training being taken out often and especially after eating. He will pick it up soon! He loves balls and toys. His favorite thing to do is get up in your lap and cuddle when he is tired.   Lucky is fully vetted including neuter, microchip, puppy shots as well as rabies shot. His adoption fee of $550 includes the transport to CT. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Lucky up north after he is adopted.  To apply to adopt Lucky, go here:  http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net .    Any Questions, email us at newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com .  THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 1:30 pm

Story
This sweet little pint of sunshine will brighten your darkest day! Meet Harley, she was an owner surrender to no fault of her own. The owner simply could not care for her any longer due to her health. So Harley came into our program and since has been fully vetted: spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and is heart worm negative.   Due to her small size, she would make a perfect pet for apartment or condo living. She is potty trained on pee pads. Loves to cuddle and snuggle to her heart's delight. She gives kisses freely and often. She is a very low shedder, easy to maintain her hygiene.   Currently, she is in Arkansas, but headed to New England to be fostered. This girl is so sweet that we feel she will be adopted soon. Will you be the lucky one?  ##2313818##
