Story
Finding the Right Home for Dill: A Decision Guided by Care and Compassion. Our decision to adopt Dill who is now about four years old, was born of a desire to provide him not just shelter, but a haven with love and care. Yet, as time unfolded, we came to realize that in our current home we could not meet Dills need for open space and a home that would be devoid of other dogs, allowing Dill to thrive without the complexities inherent in multi-pet households. In relinquishing custody of Dill, we do not sever the bond forged through rescue and adoption; rather, we entrust his future to those whose circumstances align more closely with his evolving needs. As we prepare to bid farewell to a chapter in Dills life, we do so with a sense of bittersweet resolve, cognizant that in seeking a new beginning for him, we honor the essence of compassionate stewardship. In this narrative of rescue and rehoming, Dills journey continues- a journey replete with promise, and guided by the beacon of hope.

Story
Meet Mr. Rex, the adorable pup who's a perfect mix of Dachshund and Labrador retriever and only around a year old! Poor Rex had a rough start finding himself without a home, but things took a turn when he found a family, only to end up back at the shelter 30 days later because he tested positive for heartworms. Luckily, his tale has a happy twist as he's now getting the medical care he needs. Currently, he's at the Arkansas Paws in Prison Program learning basic commands and mastering his best manners. If you're on the hunt for a lovable, pint-sized companion, look no further - Rex is your guy!
