Story
Meet Murphy! He was originally found as a stray in Crowley TX and never reclaimed. So now he is in search of his furever home.  Murphy is handsome 5-year-old Dachshund/Pomeranian mix that weighs around 14 Lbs. This little guy is a very sweet boy who loves walks and lounging in the sun. Murphy is energetic and loves playing with his toys as well as with his humans and canine companions.  On occasion, Murphy has been known to steal human snacks and can put up a bit of a challenge if you try to get it back but to him, it's all in good fun. He is not suggested with small children but would be okay with older, respectful children. If you are interested in adopting Murphy, please complete an online application today for more information or to meet this adorable little guy: Adoption Application - Legacy Humane Society   Date of birth:         12/01/2019 Weight:         14lb     He is Neutered, current on all vaccinations and heartworm prevention. Story
This adorable little girl was left behind when her dad was taken into hospice care. 💔Somehow, Diva ended up outside in the backyard in the Texas heat until a lawncare company found her. She was pretty much unresponsive but animal control rushed her to the vet, who saved her. 💖 Diva had to be treated for heartworms in addition to everything else she'd been through. ❣ She's been such a little trooper through everything, and she has opinions about all of it. She's come out the other side and is a sassy golden girl. Look at the difference between her shelter picture and now. 🤗 Diva loves snacks. All the snacks. 🤤 Mealtime is her favorite time. Every time. But, it'll be important to keep Diva lean for the rest of her life. Being overweight will put added stress on her heart, which is not something we want to see with a heartworm survivor. In addition, Diva is a dachshund mix, and carrying extra weight can create a multitude of problems for her spine and joints. 🦵 We can't believe Diva has been with us for over a year. She's a silly girl and will bring so much entertainment to her forever family. She is full of personality, and who wouldn't want to look at that sweet frosty face every day? 🥰 If you've been considering a new furry family member, we hope Diva's sweet face touches your heart. 💞 ADOPTION APPLICATION: www.tinyurl.com/IADRAdoptionApp ***IMPORTANT- PLEASE READ*** Our adoption fee is $175. We require an application to be completed prior to setting up a meet-and-greet. We do not offer "on-the-spot" adoptions. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. We do our best to match dogs with families that will be a good fit to help ensure a successful adoption. We reserve the right to decline any application for any reason. Due to the nature of our adoption process, our fosters are usually only able to consider forever families within a reasonable driving distance of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. A vet reference is required, and a trial period will be completed before finalizing the adoption. Thank you for your understanding.

Story
This is "Adorable Dory", a 6 year old, 14 lb Dachshund/Chihuahua mix. She is over-the-top cute with her unique markings, ears that look like she could take off flying at any moment, and her short little legs. Foster mom calls her "Lambchop" and says she is a sweet girl who just wants to be loved on and get belly rubs. Dory is very well behaved in the house and wants to be with her people as much as possible. Dory lost her back leg due to an accident a few years ago, but that doesn't affect her one little bit. She still loves to go on walks, and currently walks every day with foster mom. She can still find a way to get up on the couch to snuggle next to her person. She rides well in the car and is the perfect travel companion. She likes to ride with foster mom when she runs errands, she loves stroller rides around the mall, and she even visits a beach in Florida! Dory loves her furry igloo bed, and is the ultimate cuddle bug. She gets along great with other dogs that are on the calmer, more laid back side. The first step to meeting sweet, little Dory is to submit your application, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

Story
Weezie is a 5 month old, 8 lb Dachshund/Chihuahua mix, but breed mix is just our best guess. When she came to Humane Tomorrow she was in pretty bad shape, suffering from a case of pneumonia. Foster mom has done an excellent job nursing her back to health, and she is feeling great and looking beautiful! Weezie is adored by all who know her. She has beautiful tri-color markings, an adorable little prance, and she runs the best zoomies when playing with the other dogs in her foster home. She likes to climb on the big dogs and play all day with the littles. She can empty a toy basket in record time, and she often chooses the largest toys and has no problem pulling them around. Weezie's cuteness attracts a lot of attention when she goes out in public with foster mom, but she gets a little nervous in a big crowd. She is happy to stay at home in her pen and nap when her people leave. She is doing well with potty training when taken out often. She doesn't live with kids, but we think she will be ok with kids over the age of 6. She sleeps in bed with her foster mom, and sleeps through the night with no accidents. The first step to meeting Weezie is to submit your application, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.
