Story
Della is a very sweet and petite girl. She loves to cuddle and is very food driven. She was a San Diego dog that had a lot of space playing with other dogs at daycare/parks/yards. Since moving to San Francisco, she has had a hard adjustment. Her happy place is really to just hangout on the couch. She doesn’t really care for walks as long as she has space to be off leash so a backyard would be best. Her anxiety tends to make her nervous and more defensive while on leash or in car rides so long trips outdoors aren’t ideal, but off leash she is very confident and loves to explore. Given she is almost 10yrs old, it would be very difficult for her to go through another move to NYC so I am hoping the perfect family can give her the love to let her enjoy her final years. She is completely trained, knows her commands, and can shake :)

Story
We hope you've been packing that college fund, because this super smart girl is bound for an Ivy League school. Weighing in at a chonkolicious 60 pounds, most of which are her brains, Bonita will wow you with her comprehension and communication skills. If you want her to come, sit, or roll over, all you have to do is ask. And she's so friendly and polite, always happy to shake hands with a new friend. Come meet Bonita! Here's some notes from her foster: Bonita is an absolute delight. She is very sweet and very bright. Like, very bright. She showed up already knowing several commands, including sit, stay, paw, down, and roll over, and she can identify them all by both spoken word and hand sign. She picked up twirl and bed in about fifteen minutes each. She is incredibly intuitive and teachable, which is a guardian's dream. She's also a goof around the house. She loves to gallop up and down the hallway for a game of fetch, hold a toy up in the air as she wriggles around on her back, and receive as many belly and face rubs as a person can give. Bonita's energy level is right in the goldilocks zone. She is able-bodied and will gladly go on as long of a walk as you'd like, but at home she never acts out as a means of releasing pent up energy. In fact, she will gladly spend plenty of time snoozing, and she is so good at snoring that she'll do it with her eyes open, staring right at you. She is also fully potty trained and shows no issues being left alone! She is very trusting and loving but also a confident dog, communicating her needs effectively. She has settled in at our home quickly and isn't anxious or demanding. She easy, and quiet. And SMART. She has sit, shake, down, etc already figured out. Really, Bonita is one of those dogs who can do it all. She's as happy napping through a TV marathon or playing with a toy as she is exploring the neighborhood or taking a ride in the car. She's smart and loving and an all-around joy of a pet.

Story
One of our veteran foster families spent some time with Luna recently and let us know all about their time with this great gal! "Luna was an absolute delight! She was very well behaved on the leash, energetic but not a puller unless squirrels dash by. Luna is mellow even when other dogs are barking at her. She was happy to chase balls in our backyard and enjoyed taking naps in the sun. She also loved a good chew toy and some tummy rubs. Luna is a very quiet dog - I don't believe we ever heard her bark. She seems comfortable with some alone time, and she waited patiently for us to greet her in the morning after we slept in a different part of the house. She also travels well in a car. Luna is a big, athletic dog, and it is clear that she is still young and can get mouthy and jump up when playing or roughhousing, but she responds well when corrected. She can sit, lie down, and shake hands on command. Luna is a bright, beautiful, curious, sweet, and fun loving dog. Luna would benefit from more exposure to a variety of people as she seems a bit cautious about interacting with new people and is also protective of her existing relationships. Having said that, she took quickly to us and we fell in love with her over the weekend."
