Meet Joy! This adorable pup came to the shelter as a stray so we don't have much history. We know that she loves people and and is happy and well socialized. Joy is a beautiful blue and cream colour, her pictures really don't do her justice. She loves to curl up and get lots of cuddles, but don't let her sweetness fool you she can be a ball of energy and excitement. Joy loves her toys and going on adventures, but her favourite thing is being near her humans. Puppies need lots of attention and a safe environment for them to grow into great pets. Like any baby, Joy is constantly learning. She will need help to learn the rules in a new house, things like, what to play with, where to go to the bathroom, where to sleep to name a few. She'll need annual health checks with her veterinarian for the rest of her life to keep her in optimum health. She's classy, sassy and a little bit fancy! She's Phoebe, a six month old Doberman currently weighing 45lbs. This active girl loves to follow her people around regardless of where they're going. Phoebe doesn't like to miss a beat and appreciates being included in pretty much everything. ☺️ Phoebe insists on you sharing your apples and pea pods but don't bother with the peas themselves, she's just not into them. She loves to swim in the lake but forget about the pool, that's not really her jam. 😂 Phoebe is good with other dogs once she's had a proper introduction. Sometimes her excitement gets the better of her. She's also good with kids and enjoys the belly rubs and attention. 😍 ❌ Phoebe isn't good with cats, birds or other small animals as she likes to chase. Phoebe likes going for walks and actively working on not pulling. She does well in her crate during the day, whining a bit at first, then settling down. At night, Phoebe enjoys her beauty sleep while in her crate with no issues. ☺️ Phoebe is proud to report that she is fully potty trained and she will sit and whine at the door to let you know she needs out. One of Phoebe's favourite things is her love for belly rubs as well as petting the area in between her eyes. She makes the funniest grumbling noises, making it seem like this girl is so hard done by. 😂 Phoebe loves to play fetch and has recently learned "drop it" making the game so much more fun! Self care is important to Phoebe and one of her regular routines is laying on the grass soaking up the sunshine. ☀️ This beautiful girl is waiting for her forever home.
