Story
Rex is our very special sweetheart. In the home, he is an absolute cuddle bug who can be slow to warm up with new people. Once you earn his trust, he is the most loyal little man ever. Rex loves to play tug-of-war and despite being a tripod, he has the stamina to run for a while! He is a bit of an anxious fellow and would do best as an only dog in the house--he has been bit by a large breed dog before and is reactive with most of them.

Story
Hello there, my name is Serena! I'm a ten month old, spayed Female Doberman/Pitbull mix that currently weighs 43lbs. but I'm still growing and will likely be somewhere between 55 to 65lbs. as an adult. I'm a sweet young lady that tends to start of shy but if you take your time to get to know me, I happen to be an adorable, energetic and playful puppy that loves to explore! I can't wait to go home and get out into the world and go on lots of snifari's, in quiet areas at first just to help me gain my confidence. I really enjoy the company of my favorite person and may end up being a bit of a Velcro dog. I would love to meet the entire household before going home including any resident dogs before heading to my furever home. Serena ID# A955040 I went on an office visit and here is how it went! 'Once in the office she did a lot of exploring and sniffing. We played with some toys which she loved squeaking and didn't rip apart. She rested her head in my lap while I was at my desk and closed her eyes while I gave her head pets. After a couple hours I sat on the dog bed, and she joined me. We ended up taking a little nap and she totally loved the affection and cuddles. She is such a sweet puppy and just needs someone to be patient with her and give her all the love she deserves!'   Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Story
🐾 Hello! I’m Klaus, Your “Solid” Fur-reind! 🐾 I’m a tall, dark, and handsome Doberman Pinscher mix—word around the shelter is that I look like the canine version of a movie star. 😊 At 3 years old and 74 lbs. of pure muscle, I’m a walking, stubby tail-wagging hunk of paw-someness. The first things you’ll notice about me are my sleek and shiny coat, those ridiculously floppy ears, my handsome Dobie face, and this strong, athletic body. HELLLLO, ladies! 😉 I might play it cool when we first meet, but if you’ve got a tennis ball or treat in hand, I’ll come sprinting to you. Stick around long enough, and I’ll be leaning on you and enjoying back rubs and ear scratches. My hobbies include running laps around the yard and flaunting my strong, long legs, going on sniffari walkies, chasing after tennis balls, and checking the play yard perimeter…. Detective Klaus at your service, ladies and gentlemen! Oh, and did I mention I LOVE Sniffaris? Being the suave ladies' man that I am, I seem to prefer the company of the female doggos. I love running the fence and playing with them while they are in the adjacent yards. What can I say? I’m too paw-some for them to resist! 😉 There’s a lot more to me than just my good looks, you know? I’m already a pro at ‘Sit’ —and if you’re holding a treat or a tennis ball, I’ll sit without even being asked. Pretty impressive, huh? 🏅I’m also working on my 'Down' and 'Stay.’ My volunteer pals say I’m quite the gentleman when they are taking me in and out of my kennel. Another bonus is that I take treats from your hand very gently. When leash-walking, I’ll pull when I get excited to read and respond to pee-mails. But all l need is that ONE special person or family who will love me enough to patiently teach me some manners. Given my size, strength, and boundless energy, I can be a bit overwhelming for small kids. I wouldn’t want to unintentionally knock them over in my excitement, so an adult-only home would be the best fit for me. 👍 I’d love to go to a breed-savvy family or someone who has experience handling large dogs. I’m already neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated, and am ready to come home with you! I hope to see you soon! 😊 ** KLAUS would do best in a home without children ** ## See video of Klaus at the end of the photo gallery! ## TVAR.org/find-your-pet-adopt/dogs-puppies/ Klaus’ Shelter ID# is 84172. He is an adult, black and brown, Doberman Pinscher mix. He currently weighs 74 lbs. He has already been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered and is ready to go to his new home! Klaus is located in kennel B-1. His adoption fee is $35, plus licensing (if applicable). The cost of his neuter surgery will be sponsored! ** Age shown is an estimate only ** THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING If you are interested, please call the East County Animal Shelter at 925-803-7040 to see if this dog is still available.
