Story
0425049 - Hello my name is Vino and playing is my game. I’m a very happy energetic 45lb, almost 1 year old boy. I'm likely a Doberman mix (still with my natural tail and ears ) but to be sure you might need to interview my mama or do a DNA test. I love to run around the backyard with my foster siblings and I can empty a basket of squeaky toys in no time. Cats are ok if they are still but if they run, the chase is on. A good bone and a few naps are a must during the day and I enjoy a nice cuddle as well. I’m potty trained and I sleep all night long but I do need some leash work because the smells get me going all over the place. My teeth have a mind of their own so in my defense I can’t be left unsupervised, but I'm still a puppy. I love to go outside so we’d have some fun adventures together and it would be really nice to have a canine companion to join us. If I’m the sweet guy you’re looking for, hit me up on www.sloppykisses.org to fill out an application and we’ll live happily ever after together. ##2366473##

Story
HOMEOWNERSHIP REQUIRED!!! Hi! My name is Twiggy, but my foster mom also calls me Love, Lovie, Baby, Sweetie, Couch Potato and sometimes “Big Old Lug” when I’m taking up her side of the bed at night (how rude!). My likes? I love zoomies in the backyard, snoozing in chairs and car rides. Oh, I also love dogs and people, and snuggling … lots and lots of snuggling. My dislikes? I really don’t like loud trucks, not really fond of lots of traffic, and I don’t like anyone stealing my toys. I’m a 3-year-old Doberman Pincher mix. I’m a fun-loving, big, curvy girl (how dare you ask my weight, but I’m about 70 lbs.!). I’m looking for a long-term relationship. I’ve done the short-term foster thing and, no knock on it, but I really am just looking for a genuine connection with someone who thinks it’s OK for me to snore in their ear at night. I’ve been through board-and-train, so I’m an educated gal. Must haves for my new relationship: a yard with a fence so I can run around and chase squirrels and bunnies; patience with me on a leash (I listen, but have a short attention span); no young kids. It’s not that I don’t like them or can’t be around them. I can! But they’re small and sometimes get in my way. Plus, I don’t really understand personal space, so I don’t want to hurt them. Oh, and not to brag or anything, but I’ve been told I’m a very good kisser. If you want to meet up, contact 2BABR and they will put you in touch with my current foster. We can get together and see what happens. Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##901874##

Story
**🐾 Meet Bruiser – Your Future Best Friend! 🐾** Hello there! My name is Bruiser, and I’m looking for my special forever family. Will you be the one to bring happiness into my life? I didn’t have the best start in Roswell, New Mexico. I spent a lot of time in an outdoor kennel, without a cozy bed or the love of a family. Human interaction was rare, and life felt very lonely. But now, I’m in beautiful Colorado, and while I’m loving it here, I’m hoping to find a family who understands me – a deaf dog who’s been through a lot. I have a little secret to share: sometimes, I act like a grumpy old man. But I promise there’s a good reason for that! You see, my hearing is very limited, so when I get startled and don’t know someone’s there, I might growl. I don’t mean to be scary – I’m just trying to protect myself. Despite my tough past, I adore being loved and petted, especially when someone rubs behind my ears. I dream of a family who will be patient and understanding, one that will take the time to help me feel secure and cherished. 🌟 **Here’s what makes me special:** - I absolutely LOVE going for walks! The fresh air, the exciting smells – it makes me feel like a young pup again. When my foster dad grabs my leash, I can barely contain my excitement. - I’m a big fan of toys and, oh, do I love food! Treats are my favorite, and I’ve even learned to sit politely for them. - I know how to use a doggie door and am eager to learn more – I’m a smart boy who just needs a little guidance. Look into my eyes, and you’ll see a soul longing for love and companionship. I believe the right family can help me blossom into the happiest dog ever. Could that be you? If you’d like to meet me, please fill out an application at the From Forgotten to Forever website:https://www.fromforgottentoforever.com/adoptionapplication/ Let’s start our forever journey together. ❤️ #AdoptBruiser #FromForgottenToForever #RescueDog #DeafDogsRock

Story
Meet Chex, a 3-year-old Doberman mix who is a very sweet girl under all of her shyness. She can be easily startled by new things and sudden movements, so she thrives in a calm, quiet environment where she can feel safe and secure. Do to this, Chex would do best in a home with children at least 12+ who can respect her boundaries while she adjusts. While she may need some time to adjust, once she settles in, her loving nature shines through. Chex is a gentle soul who will bring warmth and affection to the right home that understands her need for patience and tranquility. What I Need In a Home:* Kids 12+ mandatory

Story
Gucci is a male about 60 pounds and a lover not a fighter, and almost 2 years old. He is 92.7% Doberman and 7.3 Giant Schnauzer. I have his DNA test available. He is a massive cuddler and just loves people and other dogs not an aggressive bone in his body. We have had him around kids and never had a problem. He is well trained and know a hand full of tricks. Unfortunately my wife and I travel for work and when we are not able to be home with him and we have to board him and that is getting very expensive. We worked very hard to make him the great dog that he is and we hope he goes to amazing home.

Story
Meet Shayne, a 4-year-old, 77-pound Doberman with a heart as big as her soulful eyes. This sweet, gentle, and dainty girl is the epitome of calm, making her a wonderful companion in any home. Shayne is house-trained and not destructive, ensuring your home stays just as it should. She’s lived happily with small dogs and is good with them, though she would thrive best in a cat-free environment. This gorgeous girl enjoys long walks, where she happily trots along on the leash, and loves a special treat of boiled chicken. While she’s laid-back and serene, she’s also a cuddle enthusiast who will happily curl up with her favorite people. Shayne is truly a beautiful, loving soul who will make a loyal and affectionate addition to the right home. This dog was rescued from a shelter in New Mexico. Meet and greets are by appointment only.  An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time.  When we do, it will be updated here.  This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above.  Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. Dogs adopted with our rescue come with FREE training from #GoodPup to help you build strong bonds from the start! If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance.  We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect).  Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico.  While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.   More questions?  Read our FAQs here: https://4p4l.org/faqs/  Breed labels are a "best guess" by a shelter veterinarian and cannot be guaranteed.  A new study has concluded that (in layman's terms), breed assumption is NOT indicative of behavior in mixed breed dogs.  Therefore, if a dog looks presumably to be a German Shepherd breed, one cannot assume the dog will have a high prey drive.  From the study: "Although many physical traits were associated with breeds, behavior was much more variable among individual dogs. In general, physical trait heritability was a greater predictor of breed but was not necessarily a predictor of breed ancestry in mutts. Among behavioral traits, biddability—how well dogs respond to human direction—was the most heritable by breed but varied significantly among individual dogs. Thus, dog breed is generally a poor predictor of individual behavior and should not be used to inform decisions relating to selection of a pet dog" - https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.abk0639 ##2363004##
