Doberman Pinscher

Female, 6 yrs 3 mos
Colorado Springs, CO
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Candi is a fun loving, playful, active Shepherd mix, who is fully vetted, HW neg and microchipped. Though she does get along with most dogs, she would probably do best in a home where she is the only fur baby, receiving all the attention. Candi is house broken, but as far as being crated...she prefers to not be confined, so we don't currently crate her. Candi loves to go for walks, though she is very strong and wants to lead! She needs a strong hand and leash training. She's a smart girl, and has learned to open the back door at her foster home. If there is another dog in the home, Candi needs to be fed separately, as she will protect and scuffle over her meal! She hates being alone, so another easy going dog or a family who is home most of the time, would be ideal for Candi. Shei loves cuddles and lots of attention! *NO cats for Candi! *****Candi is currently located in Dallas/Fort Worth, so transport would need to be arranged!***** If interested in adopting, please feel free to fill out our adoption application online: www.salvagedsoulspetrescue.org

**🐾 Bruiser is Looking for His Forever Family! 🏡❤️** Hi, my name is **Bruiser**, and I’m searching for a special family to call my own. 💙 I’ve come a long way from my lonely life in Roswell, New Mexico, where I never had a warm bed or a family to love me. But now, I’m in **Colorado**, living with an amazing foster family who’s shown me kindness, adventure, and care. Here’s what I love most about my new life: 🐾 **Going on walks** – I get so excited when I see my leash because I know an adventure is coming! 🐾 **Toys & treats** – I didn’t get much food before, so I’m very treat-motivated and love learning new things. 🐾 **Exploring & making friends** – I even enjoy my time at the boarding place when my foster family travels! I’m an **older gentleman** with a few quirks, but my foster family can tell you all about them. I just need a home that will love me as I am and continue to help me grow. People aren’t so bad after all, and I have **so much love to give** in return. ❤️ If you think you could be my forever family, please **fill out an application** to meet me! Let’s start our journey together. 🐶🏡 https://www.fromforgottentoforever.com/Adoptionapplication/ #AdoptBruiser #RescueDog #ForeverHome #AdoptDontShop

Story
Meet Jax, Jax is a blue & tan boy with natural ears and a tail that is 5 years old. He is a super sweet boy and deserves the best life. He is a very smart boy who loves cuddles, is great on a leash, and knows a lot of commands! He's a great running and hiking partner, too! Jax needs to be in a Doberman experienced home with no small children. Jax will need to be in a home that is willing to work with him and a trainer for him to continue to grow into the dog he is meant to be. He will also need a home with a 6 ft fence, as he can clear a 3-4 ft fence if he decided to let himself out on a run. Jax is fully vetted and ready for his new forever home. Jax is muzzle trained and in high stress environments like vet offices it would be best for him to wear it in case he gets over stimulated. This boy has had a rough life thus far after running the streets of Mexico to coming here. Jax would be best in a home with another dog to keep his confidence up. He is good with cats and horses also. Jax is a true velcro dog and protective of his tribe once he settles in. We are currently accepting applications for Jax at www.savingdobermankind.org/adoption-application All animals adopted from us are fully vetted including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and deworming. Story
Meet Bubbles, Bubbles is a 1 year old doberman that has a infectious spirit that brightens up life everyday. Bubbles is an adult dog, but his heart is forever young. His energy is contagious, spreading joy to everyone he meets. Bubbles loves to play, and he's always up for a game of fetch or tug-of-war. He's also a social butterfly, always eager to make new friends, both human and canine. But what makes Bubbles truly special is his friendly nature. He's a loyal companion, always ready to lend a listening ear or a comforting paw. Bubbles is not just a pet, he's a friend, a playmate, and a source of endless joy and companionship. Adopt Bubbles, and let his playful spirit and friendly nature bring joy into your life. Bubbles ears do appear to have had a bad at home crop done as he has no ear flaps or even a decent crop. Poor guy had it rough. We aren't sure how long the people had him that relinquished him to the shelter but he was relinquished because he was "too big" at 62 lbs. Bubbles is already fully vetted and ready to find his forever home. He does need work on his obedience training but does know sit. He is scared of doorways so has to be coaxed out of them. He needs some work with his pulling as well. To apply to adopt Bubbles please go to www.savingdobermankind.org/adoption-application All animals adopted from us are fully vetted including spay/neuter, vaccines, micro-chip, heartworm test and deworming. Story
Meet Panini, Just as her name implies, Panini is sure to melt your heart. This young girl is a bundle of energy, sweetness, and big personality. Panini’s likes include food, people of all ages, roughhousing with canine friends, food, soft beds, toys, and…did we mention food? This girl is as treat motivated as they come and already knows how to sit, lay down, and use a dog door. She is currently making great progress with potty training, walking on leash, and responding to the “place” command as well. She is truly a girl who enjoys the simple things and will make you enjoy them too! Panini’s only dislike is being alone, as she has shown some separation anxiety, so she would do best in a home that has another dog to keep her company while her humans are away. As a young and sometimes rowdy pup, Panini needs a family who will continue to work on her house manners and socialization. In exchange, she will fill your days with laughter, snuggles, and lots of fun! To apply to adopt Panini please go to www.savingdobermankind.org/adoption-application All animals adopted from us are fully vetted including spay/neuter, vaccines, micro-chip, heartworm test and deworming. Story
Meet Shayne, a 4-year-old, 77-pound Doberman with a heart as big as her soulful eyes. This sweet, gentle, and dainty girl is the epitome of calm, making her a wonderful companion in any home. Shayne is house-trained and not destructive, ensuring your home stays just as it should. She’s lived happily with small dogs and is good with them, though she would thrive best in a cat-free environment. This gorgeous girl enjoys long walks, where she happily trots along on the leash, and loves a special treat of boiled chicken. While she’s laid-back and serene, she’s also a cuddle enthusiast who will happily curl up with her favorite people. Shayne is truly a beautiful, loving soul who will make a loyal and affectionate addition to the right home. This dog was rescued from a shelter in New Mexico. Meet and greets are by appointment only.  An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time.  When we do, it will be updated here.  This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above.  Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. Dogs adopted with our rescue come with FREE training from #GoodPup to help you build strong bonds from the start! If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance.  We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect).  Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico.  While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.   More questions?  Read our FAQs here: https://4p4l.org/faqs/  Breed labels are a "best guess" by a shelter veterinarian and cannot be guaranteed.  A new study has concluded that (in layman's terms), breed assumption is NOT indicative of behavior in mixed breed dogs.  Therefore, if a dog looks presumably to be a German Shepherd breed, one cannot assume the dog will have a high prey drive.  From the study: "Although many physical traits were associated with breeds, behavior was much more variable among individual dogs. In general, physical trait heritability was a greater predictor of breed but was not necessarily a predictor of breed ancestry in mutts. Among behavioral traits, biddability—how well dogs respond to human direction—was the most heritable by breed but varied significantly among individual dogs. Thus, dog breed is generally a poor predictor of individual behavior and should not be used to inform decisions relating to selection of a pet dog" - https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.abk0639 ##2363004##
