Story
We got Zena from an animal shelter when she was about four months old. She is now 11 as of 11/20/24. She needs a place that is peaceful with either no kids or older kids. She still likes to play and explore but is used to just chilling around the house. If she's allowed to snuggle with her owners she love lying on the couch or bed next to you. She very attentive and can be protective of her home environment. Great with people out of the house or at boarding facilities.

Story
This is Nola Jean! I adopted her from a shelter as a puppy, and she has been the light of my life this past year. Her exact breed is unknown, but she is suspected to be a Doberman mix and is just about full-grown at 40 lbs. She is almost 1 year old, potty and crate trained, and full of personality. If I had to describe her in three words, they would be curious, loving, and sassy. I only want the absolute best for her and am looking for someone who will give her a loving and caring home.

Story
Duchess was in a small, high kill shelter when we came across her information. Her eyes were so infected she couldn’t open them and the shelter had posted her as being blind. Our vet discovered that Duchess doesn’t produce tears and the chronic dry eye had been untreated so long her corneas were damaged and infected. This sweet girl was so shut down initially she had to remember what a special dog she is. We are trying our best to save her eyes, she gets 2 types of medicated drops twice a day and artificial tears as often as possible. She’s learned to let her foster clean her eyes and is good about getting her drops. She’s able to see now although not as well as we hope she can as we progress. She will need eye drops ongoing. Duchess now plays with the other dogs in her foster home and enjoys running around her yard. Her very favorite thing is getting attention and spending time with her humans. She just wants to totally devote herself to her human and take care of her family. This girl is a wonderful Doberman and an ambassador for the breed. She is house trained, can use a doggie door or ask to go outside if she doesn't have one. She is fine being left home alone or with her canine friends but would rather go wherever her human is going. She’s great going for rides and would be the perfect travel companion. Duchess is fully vetted - current with vaccines, spayed, on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, and is microchipped.

Story
DOB: 8/1/23 Weight: approx. 65 lbs Ash is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. He's looking for an active family that has lots of time to spend with him. He loves being right by his people's side and is as affectionate as they come. Ash is house and crate trained, and loves having plenty of things to chew on to keep him occupied. He has separation anxiety and wouldn't thrive in a home where his people are gone all day.  He's still young and learning his size, so Ash shouldn't be in a home with small children as he tends to get too excited and can knock them over.  If you're interested in meeting Ash, please apply online and we'll be in touch. Fee is $275 https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoption-application/We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. (when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)

Story
Candi is a fun loving, playful, active Shepherd mix, who is fully vetted, HW neg and microchipped. Though she does get along with most dogs, she would probably do best in a home where she is the only fur baby, receiving all the attention. Candi is house broken, but as far as being crated...she prefers to not be confined, so we don't currently crate her. Candi loves to go for walks, though she is very strong and wants to lead! She needs a strong hand and leash training. She's a smart girl, and has learned to open the back door at her foster home. Candi LOVES to have her people with her most of the time, so a family who is home most of the time, would be ideal. Shei loves cuddles and lots of attention! *NO cats for Candi! *****Candi is currently located in Dallas/Fort Worth, so transport would need to be arranged!***** If interested in adopting, please feel free to fill out our adoption application online: www.salvagedsoulspetrescue.org
