Story
Alexa is 70 pound pit bull terrier who is around 6 years old. Although big and solid, this girl is super sweet with her people, including a four-year-old child living with her. Alexa is good on leash and loves going for runs with her foster dad. She does not need to be on leash for her runs, but she does well on leash and rides in a car beautifully. All vetting is up to date and Alexa is heartworm negative. She is crate trained, house trained and knows some commands such as "sit". Alexa lives near a pond and in the summer she enjoys splashing around.Alexa currently lives with another female dog and they are fine together, however, due to an issue with a small, bossy dog in a previous situation, we would like to place her in an only-dog home with no children. Alexa does not seem to have a mean bone in her body, but she is big and stout and could easily knock down a small child. Children over the age of 12 would be best. Adoption fee for Alexa is $150. Story
Niko was kept in an outdoor kennel as a puppy, with little chance to get out and play. So when you first meet him, he is shy for the first 30 minutes or so. After that, he warms up quickly and loves to snuggle in close for pets and love. Niko walks great on a leash and would make a great companion because of his loving disposition. That beautiful coat is only matched by his beautiful heart. He is currently living at a boarding facility because we haven't had a foster home open up. We would love for him to find an adoptive family, but at least, would love for someone to step up and foster him. Story
Francis had been a stray for several weeks. He was very scared at first and kept running away from help. But finally, he was caught and brought to safety! He appears to have been hit by a car and is very thin. But he is the sweetest and happiest boy! He is loving getting to live in a house with people who care about him! Francis is just grateful to be alive! He is good with kids, and interested in other dogs. He is learning how to play with toys and be a happy dog! This boy has a long road to recovery but he will make it! He’s got a strong and resilient spirit! To make the best possible match for you and the pet, please follow the link below to complete the Adoption Application. Story
Delta is a beautiful 3-year-old lab mix with a heart full of love despite her tough beginnings. Rescued from a heartbreaking situation where she spent her early life chained, Delta carries a small scar on her leg as a reminder of her past, but she doesn’t let that define her.Though a bit shy when meeting new people, Delta’s gentle nature shines through once she feels safe. She's learning to enjoy the world around her, especially the joy of walks on a leash and basic manners. Delta gets along well with other dogs and has shown little interest in cats, making her a versatile companion.Delta has also tested positive for heartworms, but she’s currently undergoing treatment and on her way to recovery. This special girl is ready for a loving home where she can continue to heal and thrive. Could that be with you?Give Delta the second chance she deserves—she’ll repay you with a lifetime of loyalty and love.To make the best possible match for you and the pet, please follow the link below to complete the Adoption Application. Story
Abbey was a stray who hopped right into the vehicle of a kind couple who stopped to feed her! She is extremely sweet and gentle! She loves to play and already knows several basic commands! Abbey is very loving and wants a person of her own! She came into rescue with limp. Upon further investigation, it appears that she suffered a trauma. Most likely she was hit by a car. X rays have shown that nothing can be fixed surgically but she will need long term medications and possibly injections to manage. Her paw and pelvis have been affected. But this does not stop this sweet girl from getting around! She will just need a family who can give her the care that she will need.To make the best possible match for you and the pet, please follow the link below to complete the Adoption Application.
