Story
Finn is a senior sweetheart looking for a forever family who understands his special needs. This beautiful grey and white domestic long hair cat is the sweetest . He loves cuddles, and he's very affectionate. Finn will require a medical consultation with our on-site veterinarian before being adopted as he is diabetic and will require daily insulin. Because of his special diet, he will need to be the only cat in the home. Finns estimated DOB is 1/1/2016. If you have been looking to care for an animal with special medical needs, please stop by the shelter and meet sweet Finn! He would love to spend the rest of his life in your care! There is a mandatory consultation with our veterinarian before he can be adopted. Our adoption fee is $125 for small breed dogs under 20 pounds and $100 for all other dogs and cats unless otherwise noted in their bio. Every pet available for adoption is current on shots spayed/neutered, and microchipped. You may submit an application online for pre-approval and to set an appointment or you can visit the shelter Wednesday - Sunday from 11am - 5pm. Please note that the kennels close for pet viewing at 4:30pm.

Story
Milo was adopted from Kitty City in Lenexa, KS when he was a baby. He has only been around female owners (myself and my two daughters). When I moved into my 86-year-old father's home, Milo began hiding underneath my bed and he won't come out until I come home from work. This is not a good life for a lovable cat.

Story
NAME: Finley (male) BREED & COLOR: Domestic medium/long hair, orange tabby  *APPROX*. BIRTH DATE:  01/25/2023 THIS CAT IS LOCATED IN CENTRAL ARKANSAS *THIS CAT IS NOT HYPOALERGENIC* LITTER BOX TRAINED:  Yes ADOPTION INCLUDES:  All vaccinations, dewormed, 30-day topical de-flea, FIV/Felv test, spay/neuter, rabies vaccs, microchip, all health records to date.  GETS ALONG WITH OTHER CATS/DOGS?  Finley is acclimated to cat friendly cats but has not met any cat friendly dogs.  *SLOW*, gradual introductions are always needed when meeting new friends! CHILDREN? He is fine with OLDER (over 12) well-mannered children who know how to respect pets. BIO: Finley came to rescue from a lady who was feeding some strays in her area.  Finley was a little shy at first, having to fend for himself outside and always having to be on guard. After knowing he was safe, he became more outgoing and friendly, but never a lush.Finley is a tad “mouthy” (places his mouth on your hand but doesn’t break the skin) when he gets enough petting or with sudden (scares him) moves. This is how he communicates with his people.  He loves to play with his toys, enjoys the cat tree and watching birds outside.Finley follows his foster mom from room to room so she won’t get lost. He’s a good guide, and takes his duties seriously, so you won’t find him in a lap at all, because he’s always ready to go. He rubs against his foster mom and enjoys brief pets.    Finley needs to take prednisone twice a week for mild asthma and IBS, however, this is not considered as "special needs". OUT OF STATE/OUT OF AREA?  We do not arrange transport or ship. Please be willing and able to personally acquire this pet.
