Story
Acorn is a gorgeous medium-haired black female. She is very playful and loves wand toys. She's very skittish and needs a patient home who can take the time to earn her trust. Once she gets to know you, she enjoys gentle pets. Acorn would prefer other cats that are mellow and gentle. She was also good with the small, older dogs at her foster home. Acorn is not litterbox trained.

Story
This gorgeous girl is Camila or Cami for short! Camila was surrendered to us after her owners were faced with health issues beyond their control. She was well loved and very spoiled, and we're hoping to find her a new home that will do the same! She is around 3.5-years-old and large cat, weighing around 11lbs. She is understandably very stressed at the shelter, but does her best to try to enjoy gentle pets on the head from staff. She will need a patient home that can give her ample time and space to adjust. Camila lived as an only pet in her previous home. She is front paw declawed. When Camila first came to WCHS, she experienced some discomfort in her front paws. Our vet did x-rays and observed nail fragments in her front paws. She received a pain injection and has been doing wonderfully since. Any interested adopter would want to keep this in mind to share with their vet in case any complications arise in the future!

Story
Pixie came to us with her twin from a southern Illinois animal control. She is around 2 years old and beautiful, with long grey hair. She is very sweet and enjoys affection and pets. We soon found out she was pregnant and quickly found her a foster home where she gave birth to five little kittens! Now that the kittens are weaned and bigger, she is ready to find a forever home of her own!

Story
Could you be the sweet home Alabama is looking for??? Let us introduce you to the stunning Miss Alabama. This long haired beauty came to SAYv after delivering her litter of kittens in someone's garage. A friendly neighbor reached out looking for foster once she realized that this stray mama was friendly, and that's when SAYv stepped in. Alabama's kittens have all been adopted, but this sweet mama is still looking for her forever home. Alabama becomes more and more of a lap cat every day. She would love nothing more than to curl up in your lap while you watch TV or while you work. She makes an excellent coworker! When she's not relaxing, this young mama can be rambunctious! She goes nuts for catnip and thoroughly enjoys small toys that she can bat around the room. Her energy level is not surprising as we are guessing that Alabama is a pretty young mom- all the more reason that we are so happy someone helped this mama out. We're pretty sure that Alabama has lived on the streets for most if not all of her life, which makes it pretty awesome that she's so trusting of people already. She loves to have her head scratched - especially under her chin and behind her ears. She's a little bit unsure with bum scratches though - maybe she's just modest. :-) but she will let you know once she's had enough affection. This mama is so deserving of a great home. Story
Meet Bell, a stunning 2.5-year-old long-haired tabico kitty with a heart full of love to share. This beautiful girl arrived in our care after being surrendered by her owner to animal control, and now she's ready to find her forever home. Bell may be a bit shy at first, but with a little patience, she blossoms into the most loving and affectionate companion. She adores rubbing against legs for attention and will nudge her way into your hand for gentle pets. Bell's gentle nature makes her an ideal match for a quiet and relaxed home where she can feel safe and cherished. While Bell would be perfectly content as the only cat in the household, she is also cat-friendly and can easily get along with other feline friends. We're not sure how she feels about dogs, so a dog-free home might be best until her true preferences are known. If you're looking for a sweet and gentle kitty to fill your home with love, Bell is the one for you. Come meet her and let her charm you with her affectionate ways! Are you ready to make Bell a part of your family?
