Story
We adopted Zelda a couple of years ago from the Lawrence Humane Society. Overall she has been an amazing cat for my family! Unfortunately over recent months she has started to pee on my children's belongings and we haven't been able to figure out how to get her to stop (even after vet visits) and have run out of time with a new baby in our home. Zelda is super Loving once she has warmed up to you! She cuddles, wants pets and loves being brushed! She's been an amazing emotional support for my 10 and 8 year old, constantly going to check on them when they are upset. Zelda loves being around people she knows and hides from those she doesn't. Hides from opening and closing of doors and animals she doesn't know. She currently resides in a home with parakeets and loves laying on their cage, watching them and only occasionally pokes at them (without her claws). Soft paws has been her strong suit in a house with kids. Fee request in hopes to cover the remainder of her last vet bill.

Story
Hi there, I'm Baby Boy. I was surrendered to HOPE when my owner was unfortunately moved into assisted living after months in the ICU. Her daughters took care of me and my 5 roomies but it couldn't last long term. We were all very, very loved though! I'm a shy guy, that's just how I've always been. I am the more confident of my siblings Gracie and Blackie, though. Our Mama Kitty is a little shy too. I'd probably do best in a calm home with a nice quiet place to adjust. It'll take some time but I would totally repay your patience with love as soon as I'm warmed up! I've always been sweet for the people here at the shelter.

Story
Unfortunately, we need to find new homes for our cats. Our circumstances have changed, and we can no longer care for them. They are both great cats, but they do not need to be together. No large dogs. Both are domestic shorthairs, about 9 years old, friendly with kids, and social. Bella is a medium-haired black cat. Emma is a domestic shorthair.

Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Archie is a cat whose personality is as captivating as his love for watching the world through windows on his window perch. Archie is a bit shy at first, but don't let that fool you. Once he warms up to you, his friendly nature shines through, as he walks by you rubbing against your legs for a few chin and head scratches.  He is a huge fan of combing his beautiful orange and white long fur coat which he will love for you to do often. As he becomes more comfortable with you brushing him he will ask for a good belly rub.  But what sets Archie apart is his capacity for affection. His gentle purrs and soft cuddles are a testament to his loving nature. Adopt Archie and you're not just getting a pet, you're gaining a loyal friend who will bring warmth, love, and a touch of gentle wisdom to your home. This kitty needs a quiet home, but should get along with kids 12 years and older, and other cats, given proper introductions. Archie was born approximately January 31, 2019, and his adoption fee is $125, or adopt two and the second is half off. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming, is microchipped, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus. Come see this sweet boy at our adoption center this weekend!  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. During the week, all our kitties live in licensed foster homes, and while most do come to the adoption center each weekend, not every kitty attends every weekend. For more information, or to confirm whether a particular cat or kitten will be present that weekend, please email kittycityks@aol.com.  Kitty City Kansas Rescue is a volunteer, non-profit organization.  March 12, 2025, 1:47 am
