Sindy may have had a rough start, but you’d never know it from the way she carries herself now. This 3-year-old grey beauty arrived at the shelter as a stray, her fur so matted that we had to shave her down just to give her some relief. As if that wasn’t enough, we soon discovered she was suffering from Juvenile Stomatitis — a painful condition that made even the smallest comforts hard to enjoy.But Sindy’s a fighter. After a few weeks of care from our Veterinary Team, she’s feeling so much better — and her personality is starting to shine. She’s got a quiet grace about her, but don’t be fooled — this girl knows what she likes. Her favorite spot is a miniature couch (cat bed) that she claimed early on, and you’ll often find her perched on it like royalty, surveying her surroundings with the confidence of a cat who knows she deserves the best.Sindy’s sweet, resilient, and ready for a fresh start. Mallory is a gentle kitty on the shy side. She would rather hide than face the unknown. Give Mallory an opportunity to hide in a cat tunnel, a cat tree or simply a cardboard box. She welcomes petting and a massage on top of the head. Mallory's favorite toys are small fuzzy mice and balls. Her ideal home is one that is calm and small or start her out with a small space. Mallory gets along with other cats; therefore, it may be best if she has a cat buddy to chill with. She will tolerate cat-friendly dogs that don't chase her. Mallory is 1 year old with a long coat flaunting a tortoiseshell pattern with long white whiskers! Friends of Jackson County Animal Shelter Pets (FJCASP) is a foster-based rescue for dogs and cats. All pets are in a home environment cared for by a foster person who provides temporary care until the pet can be placed in a permanent home. Meet Homer, fuzzball extraordinaire! He is super soft and loves to wrestle with his littermates. Homer can take some time to warm up to new people. When he decides you're cool, there's no greater honor. He likes gentle scratches on the head as he falls asleep.
