Story
Meet Allura! A precious mama cat to three ginger kittens. Allura is one of our cats here at PAWS who has taken a little longer than others to come out of her shell. Although she has been slow to trust, she has shown us that she is worth taking a chance on when she allows a good scratch that ends in sweet purrs. Around other cats, Allura pays no mind to them as she is solely most concerned about her sleeping arrangements. She makes it her job to watch over the other cats she currently resides with, as she peeks from a see-through wooden box to make sure things are in order. Allura is still waiting for that perfect someone to walk though that door with patience and poise, as she contains those traits herself. She would ideally do best with adults and older children, a dog-free home and lots of cozy places to nuzzle up in.

Story
Rita was rescued as a stay a few years ago. She is still timid, but exceptionally cuddly and loves company. She may be standoffish at first, but once she’s comfortable she’s the cuddliest cat, that loves kneading on you. However, as she has gotten older she does not get along with the other pets in the house (both cats and dogs). The other pets seem to pick on her and it leads to fights. The disagreements with the pets have led Rita to be territorial over any litter box. If another pet has used it, she won’t. This stress has caused the biggest behavioral problem of her peeing/pooling anywhere but in her box. She truly is a sweet cat, and I love her dearly…however I have come to the terms that I cannot provide her the home she needs for a comfortable and stress free life. I am absolutely heartbroken, and will miss her cuddles…I just need to do what’s right for her. I’m looking to rehome her to either a dog free or cat free home at zero cost.

Story
I adopted Missy Mae when she was a kitten in 2016. I have moved a lot with her and have two children now under two and not giving her the attention she needs. She has always lived in a loving home and I would love to give that to her. I am unable to give her the care at this time. She has never lived with another cat or dog.

Story
Tommy was found without a family in the Panhandle of Texas, he was raised by humans until he was about 3-4 months old. After being examined by the vet, he made the long journey to Austin! He is about 6 months old now and loves to play with toys and enjoys his morning and evening zoomies. Between that, he enjoys napping near people. He is very shy around new people but with enough love and attention he will be back to himself in no time! He knows how to use the litter box and is good around furniture and other objects as he is familiar with scratching posts. He enjoys snacks and eats dry cat food and drinks water! He has started to enjoy ice cubes as well. For his age and not having sibling cats, he is very well behaved, and my hope is to find him a home that would provide him comfort and love that I wish I could provide but due to being highly allergic to cats, it wouldn't be feasible.
