Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Gonzalez came to us as a stray. While he does enjoy human company, he has made it clear he is an outdoor boy. Gonzalez would make a great ranch cat/barn cat as he is nice and outdoor savvy. He may even come inside your home for a visit. He would likely not do well being locked inside however and may panic if unable to get out on his own terms.

Story
Rocky is sponsored by: Barbara McMahon SNAP Cats rescued Rocky from Fresno, CA. Due to his severe CH, Rocky is currently not walking. We are working with him to try to get him on his feet. That said, Rocky gets to where he’s going by crawling and flopping, and he does make it to the litter box most of the time, so that’s a plus!. The minus is that he makes a big mess of litter outside the box trying to cover his business. Rocky eats on his own, whether it’s kibble or wet food, and is a real love. We’re all hoping that Rocky will start walking soon. Hey, years ago we had a cat named Boxes (yes, that was his name) who flopped around for 4 years, then one day decided to stand up and walk. So there is hope! If you’re interested in Rocky please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Thanks!October 15, 2024, 5:39 pm

Story
Whisper is sponsored by: Stephanie Li SNAP Cats rescued Whisper from Fresno, CA. Both Whisper and his brother, Rocky, are available. However, they are currently not walking due to their severe CH. We are working with them (physical therapy) to try to get them on their feet, so we're taking applications on them until we determine whether we think they'll walk or not. We'd like to see them adopted together, but they can go separately to the right homes. October 15, 2024, 5:39 pm

Story
Meet Ruth and Alice A Bonded Pair Looking for Their Perfect Home These special kitties are ready to bring their unique charm into a quiet, cat-loving home. They thrive in the company of one another and would like to stay together. These sisters were hand-raised with love in a WCAL foster home and we need your help to find them a peaceful indoor life.Ruth is a petite 4-year-old short haired tortoiseshell cutie with a little extra wobble in her step due to cerebellar hypoplasia (similar to cerebral palsy in humans). Shes full of life and absolutely adorable. Ruth only needs pet stairs or ramps to help her access furniture, and silicone bowls to eat from to protect her teeth from chipping on hard dishes. Her health is stable and CH is not life-threatening. Ruth adores pets, scritches, and wand-toy playtime even though she doesnt spend much time in a lap. Ruth can coexist with calm cats or dogs but appreciates having her own space to feel secure.Alice is the definition of a princessa dainty and sensitive soul who prefers quiet, gentle environments. Her luxurious medium-hair tortoiseshell coat is as soft and fine as her personality. Alice may take a little time to warm up, but once she does, youll be rewarded with moments of sweet affection in the form of lap cuddles and headbutts. She loves cozy cave beds, gentle chin scritches, and slow, soft pets. Alice gets along with chill cats or dogs and enjoys her wand-toy playtime.Ruth and Alice love freeze-dried chicken and Churu treats, and they play together beautifully, though theyve not enjoyed the playful advances of a more socially outgoing resident cat. Both travel well in the car but are hesitant in new places, needing patience and time to settle in. They would not do well in a busy household with loud children but will thrive in a serene environment where they can feel safe and loved. These two are affectionate and playful on their terms and thrive in a calm, predictable environment. Theyre not interested in human food, are not destructive, and always use their litter boxes. Loud noises, bustling households, or persistent attention from people or other animals can overwhelm them. They are unsure of new things and do best when given time to adjust and interact on their own terms. Are you the patient, loving adopter who can offer these lovely ladies the peaceful home they deserve? Their ideal adopter is open to caring for special needs pets and is willing to make a few special accommodations (like padding sharp corners and including a baby gate at the base of a stair case). A home without animals who will chase or harass Ruthie is ideal. This duo should be indoor-only kitties, but they'd love a catio to sunbathe in. They are both spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, healthy and are all about the snuggles and clowning around. Welcome to the wonderful world of wobbles. It is really challenging not to fall for this sweet duo! Ruth and Alice are waiting for you to bring them into your life and help them flourish. Please contact Nicole in Santa Rosa at w1n3m4k3r@gmail.com with any questions.** Courtesy Post - these cats were originally adopted from WCAL and we are now helping their first adopter to rehome them ** Follow us on social media for daily updates! Hi I'm Rizzo! You might not see me at first because I like to hide sometimes. If you come into the room and talk you will hear me chirp back at you. I'm still timid but once I come out, I am SO loving! I'm looking forward to finding someone or a family to bond with and bring me out of my shell. Could it be you?

Story
Flip Flop is a sweet, playful, determined kitty. She’s very smart and has found ways to adapt to her surroundings with her condition. Flip Flop has a condition called cerebellar hypoplasia, but it doesn`t slow her down any! She loves playing with toys and other kittens, climbing up cat trees to watch the birds, and snuggling all night in bed. She can also be very independent and will wander off to find a cubby or quiet spot to take a nap when she wants one. Kitties with cerebellar hypoplasia have issues with coordinated walking, so they often can appear shaky or jittery, but they are not in any pain and the condition is not contagious. She uses a rubber toddler bowl for food so she doesn’t hit her teeth when bobbing her head while eating. She is a messy eater but does try to clean up after herself. She uses a water fountain well as long as she has something to lean against. She is great at finding and using the litter box, although she needs a low entrance and high walls as she has to lay down to do her business. She’s very good at keeping herself clean most of the time but occasionally needs a little cleanup help. She does best on carpeted surfaces but can walk on wood floors. She loves having other playful kitties around and does not like being alone at all. She’s a great communicator and will let me know if she needs help getting up on the bed or getting to the litter box or food. When she first wakes up, she seems more severe, but usually corrects her path fairly quickly. We like to joke that she is 95% standard cat with 5% extra unpredictability in movement. Flip Flop would be a wonderful cat for someone who doesn`t mind a tippy kitty - she will fill your life and home with lots of love and laughter at her adorable and spirited antics!Flip Flop is in a foster home, so if you would like to meet her, please speak with our adoption staff so they can connect you with her foster parent. Thanks!
